They had crawfish this late in the season. It was excellent!!! The spicy viet garlic sauce that you can purchase to add to your crawfish is amazing . I've been here 2 times and everything that I've ordered is good.
Memory lane. I came here on a whim. As far as I knew, I was getting crawfish from the hood. I was new to the area, so I knew nothing about where to get good crawfish. I was on my way to the airport to visit my mom, wanted to bring my mom a NOLA dish, and knew that she never had crawfish. Daring, right? Fast forward, I introduced my mom to the crawfish, and demonstrated to her how to eat it - that was a flavor and spice 1-2 punch in my mouth. My mom loved it because it was very spicy. She even chewed on the shells because she couldn't get enough of the flavor. I was floored at the carnage. Scarcity made her suck the flavor from the shells. I wish my hometown boiled crabs like NOLA boils crawfish - the seasoning gets inside the shells. Ode to crawfish.
