What Happened?!? Chinese kitchen USED to be some of the best Asian food in New Orleans and that's saying a lot because of how abundant the community is here. Now they aren't even the best Asian place on Carrollton! This place is a product of what happens when you take your clientele for granted. They went years offering rude service and people stayed because the food was so good. But since Covid so much has changed. The rice is very different and the sweet n sour sauce has completely changed. I hope other businesses look at Chinese Kitchen as a learning experience to not deviate from what got you here. Changing the supplies on the smallest thing can sometimes make a world of a difference.

My husband and I decided we were hungry. I decide to go to Popeyes. He want to Chinese kitchen. We ordered shrimp and chicken lo mein also shrimp, fried rice and some socials. They came up to a whopping $41. I asked her to take off of the fried rice because the price was too ridiculous for just re-item so she did the purchase came up to $32. We ordered takeout. The once we arrived home. The food had a foul musty odor. The noodles were over cooked and it’s smell, spoiled. Let’s not talk about the shrimp chochos. It was a fried egg shell with one shrimp inside of each chocho . I wish I could take a picture and show you guys that the food is still sitting here and we are still hungry a waste of money and time. Please do not go there and waste your money!!

The absolute worst Chinese food I have ever had. The shrimp tasted spoiled. The egg roll was saturated in some type of broth & it had hardly any stuffing & the sauce smelled terrible. I was scared to eat any of it I literally just threw the whole meal away. I ordered through a delivery service.

I have not found any Chinese restaurant that comes close to Chinese Kitchen's delicious Mandarin Chicken and their Egg Rolls. Unfortunately, I'm not a regular I once was when I was younger. I only get the craving for them maybe once or twice a year if that. Over the years a few things have changed that make me say hummm when it comes to patronizing this business on a regular. Also, it's now a takeout-only restaurant which is somewhat of an inconvenience when you want to have a sit down when eating out.

Chinese kitchen is the best Chinese food spot in all of New Orleans and it ain't even close. The combination fried rice has actual steak, porkchop, and big shrimps. The only negative is the parking.
