FOOD WAS AWESOME!!!
I haven't had Chinese food this good in a long, long, long time. 😋
My meal, yesterday, was excellent; it was something I'd never had, before, so an adventure. I chose the Tonkotsu Black Ramen ('cause I love me some pork). I'd never had pork bellies, before, either, and the two in this ramen were so tender and so well seasoned. The crispy pork gyoza are, in fact, crispy fried dumplings; they were seasoned very nicely. And the broth was incredible; dense, and richly seasoned.
Although I'd been disappointed, somewhat, with their Chinese food, on my two previous visits (having been a 30 year regular at Chinese Tea Garden), as they're in the neighborhood, I decided to give them a try with something other than; I'm glad I did...
They, really, need to redecorate, as the, short-lived, Baby Cajun Saint decor ain't workin'. I'd love to see some of those classic Chinese Tea Garden paintings and calligraphy on the walls.
I remember back in 96 different own, my god the food was good......and today as member of this community over thirty years later... different owners....but amazing family oriented and very friendly..... The combination fried house rice OMG!!!!!!! .........mannnnn look...
Dat SUSHI ! 🍣 CHIEF!....yes lawd.. great food this is a must have
IS amazing at what she does very good, and precise she has so many styles, and my favorite sushi dish is shaggy dogg...If live in this area ....come eat at the garden...Tea garden..you'll feel home.... like old New Orleans.
The Tea garden is back! I’m no expert in US/Chinese food but they egg rolls are on point the pork fried rice is good. Not a bad little joint.
Good luck y’all.
It's a cute little hole in the wall Asian fusion... they have great Chinese food and amazing sushi.
Newly renovated, but I'm not sure what they were going for with the theme. It's confusing and doesn't remind me of a tea garden at all.
I usually get soup and or sushi to go which have always been good. It's convenient.
While the inside isn't too inviting, the food won't disappoint.
Been there a few times and usually dine in and I notice it was less crowded than usual and I figured out why it happened, the service is getting worse than ever, last time there is a young lady who waited on our table and looks like she been watching her phone all the time, barely smiled or making eye contact with the customer and raised her voice when taking order as well. Please notice we’re the only one dine in at that time and the place is not busy at all. Food is on time and taste okay, but after that she was done her service until she came back with the check. If you feel like supporting the local business might be you just ordered for delivery or pick up rather than sitting in the big dining room and feel uncomfortable with the service, that’s why they’re not busy .
These people charged me extra to give me a dry chicken patty talking about its white meat. Horrible and dry

This place is definitely improved. If you stayed away from it because you didn't like the old Chinese Tea Garden, give them another chance. They have an all you can eat menu at 25.99! You can't beat that. Also they have the best sushi in this part of town.

I love this place so much, the food is cheap and the place is so clean. This is my 5th time coming here and I be satisfied every time. The staff is so nice and friendly. Tea Garden is the BEST Chinese place EVER! Safe environment. Family oriented, great for families and date night. All you can EAT for only 25 dollars, can’t beat that.

Food is not good had 2 time in row and it’s just not giving Chinese food energy the rice was gummy and dry they try to redo it but I said no think you
We had a party of 6 and all of us ordered the "all you can eat.". The staff was patient taking our orders, keeping our beverage glasses full and bringing out the food in appropriate stages. The appetizers, rolls and sushi was fresh and surpassed expectations. I would recommend Tea Garden without reservation.

Great food here at a good price. One note for anyone looking at the reviews, there is an older "tea garden" that was at this location a few years and one other restaurant (baby Cajuns) ago and that received some pretty low reviews. Those reviews are unfortunately being lumped in with the reviews for the newly(2024) opened Tea Garden, which is much better and cleaner.

I came in a few weeks ago to try Tea Garden when it opened up again, under new ownership. The food was great and the new owners were really kind. They were really sweet with my son, and gave him a little treat.
I would definitely recommend them if you're looking for American style Chinese or sushi rolls.
