First time here and always excited to try a new place in NOLA. We got the ‘just feed us' and it didn't disappoint. Food came out in an orderly manner and hot which is always nice to see. Water was always getting refilled and our server was very nice and professional. The food was very good and stands out from other places in New Orleans! Would recommend and go again!

This place needs some tweaks, our service was really slow, felt like our waiter forgot about us a few times,we had to wait ages to order each drink. Food wise, our pork belly was incredibly tough, it took a lot of chewing to get through it , but the sauce was delicious, the smoked fish dip was really good but needed something a little small than plantains to help it shine. The fish stew was fantastic ans the star of the night. Honestly the service was the biggest letdown, young waiter who clearly didn't want to be there.

One of the best meals I've ever had. The mocktails were also memorable. It made my birthday celebration very special.

The food was overrated and this place charged me a large table fee for four people and a 4 percent kitchen fee. Not worth the price IMO

High level of sophistication in preparing southern and creole dishes in a light and flavorful mattering of local ingredients. A master chef. We make sure we visit every time we visit New Orleans. The service is very attentive and friendly.

Unbelievable gustatory experience! Top notch in all aspects! It was my best friend's 55th birthday and they gave her a Compere Lapin birthday card, great service!

Amazing. Such great food. Got the biscuits and the salad. Which was perfectly crunchy and seasoned. Partner got the goat curry and I got the ital stew. Both amazing!! I wish I had room for dessert. Highly recommend this place. I had a reservation. It was very chill at the beginning of the night. But got busy after about 6 pm. Also a beautiful restaurant.

Great cocktails, delicious and interesting food with a Caribbean vibe that's a 10/10. Loved the smoked fish dip and crispy pig ears. High on my list of restaurants!

My sisters and I have annual time of getting together on our late mother’s birthday. This year we chose to spend our time together in NOLA and celebrated our memories of her at Compare Le pin. It was a wonderful late afternoon dining experience and we were made to feel extra special by the owners and the exceptional wait staff!

The staff was friendly, but the food didn’t quite meet our expectations. The dishes we ordered (roasted pork belly and hot fire chicken) were much saltier than we prefer and felt a bit unbalanced in seasoning. We also didn’t realize the menu changes daily, so the items we came for weren’t available. Parking in the area was challenging, and we ended up paying over $30 to park nearby. Hoping for a better experience next time.

Probably one of the best restaurants in New Orleans we have tried. The food is spiced very interestingly and different from usual for a European. Would definitely recommend it.

I thoroughly enjoyed indulging in the rich, delectable flavors of Cajun and Creole cuisine. Throughout the rest of my trip, I also made it a point to dine at three Caribbean restaurants, Jamaican, Haitian, and most recently, St. Lucian.

Compère Lapin was one of the final stops on my New Orleans bucket list. The restaurant is elegant, offering beautifully executed Caribbean-fusion dishes, with impeccable service and an ambiance that truly delivers. Hats off to Nina Compton for bringing such a refined, standout dining experience to this incredible food city.
