Amazing. Such great food. Got the biscuits and the salad. Which was perfectly crunchy and seasoned. Partner got the goat curry and I got the ital stew. Both amazing!! I wish I had room for dessert. Highly recommend this place. I had a reservation. It was very chill at the beginning of the night. But got busy after about 6 pm. Also a beautiful restaurant.

Great cocktails, delicious and interesting food with a Caribbean vibe that's a 10/10. Loved the smoked fish dip and crispy pig ears. High on my list of restaurants!

My sisters and I have annual time of getting together on our late mother’s birthday. This year we chose to spend our time together in NOLA and celebrated our memories of her at Compare Le pin. It was a wonderful late afternoon dining experience and we were made to feel extra special by the owners and the exceptional wait staff!

The staff was friendly, but the food didn’t quite meet our expectations. The dishes we ordered (roasted pork belly and hot fire chicken) were much saltier than we prefer and felt a bit unbalanced in seasoning. We also didn’t realize the menu changes daily, so the items we came for weren’t available. Parking in the area was challenging, and we ended up paying over $30 to park nearby. Hoping for a better experience next time.

This was the best food I’ve ever had in my life. The service was phenomenal. My taste buds couldn’t believe the flavours. 10/10 all across. We got the “Just Feed Me”. Amazing.

Probably one of the best restaurants in New Orleans we have tried. The food is spiced very interestingly and different from usual for a European. Would definitely recommend it.

I thoroughly enjoyed indulging in the rich, delectable flavors of Cajun and Creole cuisine. Throughout the rest of my trip, I also made it a point to dine at three Caribbean restaurants, Jamaican, Haitian, and most recently, St. Lucian.

Compère Lapin was one of the final stops on my New Orleans bucket list. The restaurant is elegant, offering beautifully executed Caribbean-fusion dishes, with impeccable service and an ambiance that truly delivers. Hats off to Nina Compton for bringing such a refined, standout dining experience to this incredible food city.

I really love this restaurant and make a point to eat and drink here every time I come to New Orleans. Today I had the best shrimp and grits I’ve had anywhere and believe me I’ve had a lot of shrimp and grits before. The crème brûlée was superb and Turay the bartender created a cocktail as the perfect compliment.

Ate here and was not originally impressed enough to come back.

However, we got a gift card and gave Compere Lapin another chance and we are so glad we did! Great flavors and fun, original cocktails.

We were so impressed that we decided to book a private event here in their private space. Service was impeccable and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate allergies in our group. A truly wonderful, stress free dining experience. Loved the family style setup.

Highlights: tuna crudo, the BISCUITS, fried chicken

Amazing Creole restaurant that serves unique approach to many traditional dishes. We were a party of 6 and everything we ordered was outstanding, particularly the pork belly, pumpkin soup, snapper collar and, of course, the curry goat. Chef Nina and her team present something different than any other restaurant. Cocktails are also unique and inventive. The Spice Gyal is awesome. Service was excellent too.

I love this restaurant! Hadnt been there for several years but back in town this week and had so many good memories from previous visits that it was on my must do list! And those memories were completely reinforced! Dont miss the biscuits!

That we had to wait to be seated because the kitchen couldn't handle more people, then had to close out our tab at the bar, it couldn't go on our dining tab, already started with a not very friendly experience. The food had well balanced sauces but very disappointing in the description matching the food that was delivered. The food was heavy on the use of flour and very small with the actual meat substance o the meals. We found the price excessive for the quantity of the food, and for the kind of restaurant they pretended to be. It doesn't offer the service or the atmosphere (uncomfortable chairs, noisy, dim lighting, not very friendly welcome) that I think they are trying to promote.
