Visited the Metairie location and they kept the $2 change, the place stunk like bathrooms which were nasty, they refused to serve us on plates, workers were playing with the dough like it wasn’t food. Called the manager who could have didn’t care. Skip this nasty place and visit shipleys instead.
The food was good. Cash Only the service was Bad and restrooms were nasty.
Went to Vets location. Beignets had to be microwaved. The powdered Sugar was in huge chunks that didn't break when you squeeze them. Cut up my mouth trying to eat the sugar. Only a microwave does that to sugar, not just fried beignets. Won't go back.
Everything tastes like soap 🤭
Vice president is a total knob. Who moves into the French quarter and complains and sues a local establishment over bubbles that have been here for decades? Will never go back again. He could have moved anywhere he chose this location..
Great experience with great beignets and coffee

This was everything it was made up to be. Live music playing even in the summer heat, crowded but with great efficient service and the best beignets. Cash only but worth it.

Reading the comments I tell myself that many confuse this establishment with the Café du Monde (which actually lives up to its name a little too well - too much waiting)
Anyway, here you will be very well received, the waitresses are responsive and smiling.
We had a very good breakfast.

It’s a sticky delicious mess. The food and the cafe! Expect to have a busy server and bring cash. It’s cash only. Definitely worth it.

This place is not a special as it is made out to be! But, I guess it’s a Nola tradition. The cafe latte is very well balanced. No milk options or alternatives. Whole milk only. The pastry’s are ok. Personally I would be happier with a funnel cake or dough boy from a fair.Maybe, my review of this place isn’t fair because I live in a foodie city with lots of culture and restaurants.Overall, it’s worth the experience one time.

Great atmosphere. Fast service. The beignets are generous and affordable. Cash only so come prepared.
For all the hype about this place, it is a far cry from what is expected. The bignet was almost raw at the center, and the powdered sugar was old and clumpy. We ordered a large hot chocolate and they gave us a small. The praline was tasty but so very small for the price. Dont waste your time or money here.

Definitely, a bucket list place. A must visit when in New Orleans. Prepare for a wait to be seated. This place is extremely busy. The experience is worth every minute of the wait. Food, bengiet and coffee are good. Service is pleasant. Prices
