This is an outstanding restaurant in a historic and beautiful hotel in New Orleans. The cuisine is exceptional. Today our forever server " Kathy" made our meal wonderful. Please try them for a great meal or even super Beignets.
Great breakfast before my flight home! Light and fluffy beignets, and the Lobster Benedict was delicious. Prem was a great server, attentive without being overbearing. And the hotel looks beautiful - great Christmas decorations in the lobby. I didn’t stay here this trip but probably will next time I visit NOLA. Thanks for a great experience!
This is a delightful dining experience ! The bruschetta was amazing with warm toasted bread, roasted tomatoes infused with ricotta and topped with a warm balsamic glaze ! Pastas were simply delicious ! The pumpkin cheesecake tiramisu was the flakiest and tastiest dessert I’ve ever eaten ! We will be going again soon !
Merry at the restaurant was fantastic in making us feel welcomed as if we were eating at a friend’s home. The food was excellent (veal and scallops) as well as the appetizers! We will definitely go back to experience the five course set menu.
Our server, Merry was wonderful! We had a few appetizers and scallops pasta. The food and restaurant was amazing! We had a great time!
The food was excellent but the service was even better. Our server, Mary, explained all the options and answered any questions we had. She made the night a magical experience.
Had a wonderful dinner on Thursday, 10/30/2025, at Criollo Restaurant at the Hotel Monteleone. The atmosphere was warm and elegant, and the staff was exceptionally attentive. Special thanks to our server, Merry, for her outstanding service and hospitality. She truly made the evening memorable!
Criollo is great for breakfast . They have the best beignets in town and the service is also wonderful . We did not eat here for dinner but heard it was wondeful as well.
Jazz Brunch at the Criollo, just so I could order the Veal Monteleone. With pounded and fried (to my surprise) veal loin in a flavorful mushroom sauce and well made pasta, it hit the mark. Good gumbo also. Service is neither low key nor over the top. The Jazz itself is more like background music. Numerous birthdays were celebrated. The Peach Bellini and Mimosa were fine.
Our experience was magnified 1000 fold by meeting our server Ms. Kathy! She is a true gem and she’s our favorite part of our visit!!

Delicious food and wonderful service. I recommend the croissant french toast and beignets if you like sweets. My fiancé had the Monteleone Breakfast which is the traditional eggs/meat/biscuit. He's very particular about how his eggs are cooked and they nailed it. There was a jazz duo which was nice and not loud so you could hear yourself talk. Highly recommend this place.

The level of service from Johnson and Roy was fabulous. They worked in synchrony to make a wonderful meal even more delightful. We will be back.
We had dinner here when we couldn't get into the Carousel Bar just down the hall. A fun looking place but very hard to get into, no reservations. And the food was not very good in the Carousel Bar. But the food and service in Criollo was great, plus it was much quieter. And it's in an awesome historic family owed hotel, the Monteleone.
