Staying on site at the Monteleone, we arrived Saturday at 9:45 wanting to catch breakfast and we put on 15 min wait list. No text notifications so at 23 min, I went to check, they took us right in. Super friendly service! 10:19 and they'd switched to brunch. Got the scampi app, good, heavy garlic. Lobster Benedict 3.5/5 (wife.) A little tough, very low temp, and an abundance of potatoes. Good flavor (nice touch with salmon roe.) Steak and eggs cooked perfect, just tepid on...
I went to try the Golden Beet salad in their brunch menu. It was outstanding and the staff was very attentive. I tried the Egg Sardou as well, it was good. They also gave a biscotti with the coffee, it is the first time any coffee shop has done that, the place is embedded within French culture indeed. They also have live jazz, it was pleasant.
Nice food. We expected to eat the beef wellington but it was sold out. We had reservation at 19:30 and already the wellington was sold out. But in general we had a good time. We also expected a better dessert.
