Awesome little shop. Was a lot of fun to come in and pick out green coffee to roast. The service was phenomenal, he spent at least 30 minutes with us teaching about coffee and showing us how to run the roasters. Highly recommend stopping by and checking this place out if nothing but for the experience

There’s a reason this place has only 5 star reviews. It’s a true gem if you like coffee or want to learn more. Prices are extremely reasonable, staff is awesome, selection is unbeatable

What a great experience! I am an amateur roaster who needed ran out of beans while traveling and needed to find a roaster. Current Crop delivered a great selection of green beans along with a lesson on roasting. The staff was great about teaching and sharing their knowledge. If you have never roasted your own coffee beans Current Crop will introduce you to the process and you’ll be on your way to the best cup of coffee you have ever had.

Wow. What a cool, unexpected experience in NOLA. If you love coffee and have any interest in the bean to cup process, you gotta drop in. Huge selection of greens and processes. Thank you Rhea and Josh for the great customer service and the shop dogs for the sweet love.

Brilliant business model. We were drawn in by the sign out front claiming we could learn to roast coffee in 10 minutes. They have fresh, green beans from all over and washed in a multitude of methods that you can choose from. Once you pick your beans, you use a countertop roasting device to roast them to your preferred level. Rhea and Josh were so attentive and friendly, and the shop dogs Fletcher and Tucker were affectionate. Highly recommend.

We took the coffee cupping class which is a class that explains coffee and various varieties and types. This was a fascinating class and this shop is not like any I have been to. You purchase unroasted coffee and can roast at home or right in the shop. I am not a coffee drinker and I found this shop and class absolutely fascinating. The rest of my group are coffee drinkers and also learned a lot more about coffee. I’m sure my explanations are not doing justice to this shop but highly recommend visiting if not for a class to explore the shop.
