A staple of the nice, casual dining around New Orleans. The food is excellent and the feel is homey. It's an easy drive and there is sufficient parking in the area. On nights with a wait, the space is accommodating and you can get drinks on your tab.
Ate dinner tonight with a group of friends tonight and it was incredible. The food was so tasty and perfect. I had the drum and my friends ordered a variety of other dishes from the menu. Sammy was our server and he made the night. Super fun guy that was very attentive and on top of his game. I love this place because it’s a local’s place that does quality Louisiana cooking the right way!
I had a suspicion when I saw the name Chef Merlin describing his crab cake, that this was the chef from La Thai which used to be on Prytania. I have always liked his cooking so I was glad to see that he did indeed now own this restaurant. We started with the fried calamari and one of the specials, crawfish beignets.
