What an amazing, thoughtful, and tasteful experience at Etoile! Kat, the bartender was so charming and informative of the new tasting menu that is happening starting today! Get yourself over there for a cocktail and small plates. Everything is farm-to-table, locally-made or in-house. The cheeses were incredible that are made in house. The passionfruit sour cocktail was divine.

There is even a lovely local cat with a cute bowtie that matches the interior that comes around outside.

Big ups! This place was a perfect outing. No reservations needed. Thanks for the unforgettable experience!

Loved loved loved this first night to try the first à la carte menu at Étoile. I was so glad to see they brought out favorites from their tasting menu with larger portions! It is a really nice experience to see what we will be offered when we try the tasting menu on the weekend. The staff is top notch and the space is so open and gorgeous. The cocktail menu is well thought out and creative. The wines are all small family owned and beautiful. My new favorite place for a quick date night with my husband!

I have no idea how this restaurant didn't get a michelin star. If you love the movie the menu but didn't like the ending, go here. I was blown away by the service. The food was absolutely incredible. The drinks were top notch. I highly recommend this for a special occasion even a proposal. Very special place run by very special people! I will be back!

I was invited to a dinner at Etoile last night, and I had to come on here today to rave about this restaurant.
The passion and care that they put into the atmosphere, service, and food; is the best I’ve ever experienced.
I follow a gluten and dairy-free diet, and the care they took in accommodating me, was so appreciated!! Even going as far as bringing me my own portion of fresh, made from scratch, gluten-free bread 🥹
Everything here is made fresh, all from local farms. I don’t have many pictures, because I didn’t want to ruin the lovely experience, with taking pictures of food.
Every bite was intentional and delicious. I loved the way the server gave us a description of every plate. The cocktails are beautiful, everyone was amazing, and I could go on and on.
Thank you so much for making this a stress-free, wonderful meal!

Etoile is a restaurant that deserves to be experienced. I arrived skeptical and left genuinely impressed. The food and service were exquisite, and the French wine pairings were unexpectedly creative yet perfectly matched to each course. The team’s passion shines through in every detail, from the thoughtful execution to the enchanting historic home. I especially loved Etoile’s true farm-to-table philosophy and commitment to minimizing food waste. Their dedication is exceptional, and we look forward to dining at Etoile again soon.

Perfect experience.
It started with excellent ambiance at a beautiful old home. Delicious drinks. The personalized care from the staff was the best I have ever had. And then most importantly, the food was impeccable. They made my wife's birthday very special.

We were in town for my Moms 70th birthday and we made the reservation by mistake not knowing it was for a Thursday night when it was Sunday and immediately cancelled WITHIN AN HOUR of making it. Kat the assistant manager has refused to refund us despite knowing all this. Even though we don't live in New Orleans and cannot make it back to rebook. Never been treated like this at a restaurant. If the management acts like this I can't imagine how they treat people inside.

I’ve been to Etoile twice now and I am impressed by the amazing food, the tasting menu concept, and the careful and intelligent wine pairings with each course. The wine is not “round up the usual suspects” (Casablanca, 1942). The service is polite, friendly, and discreet. Etoile is also sensitive to food allergies and with enough advance notice (48 hours) will do its best to be flexible. This would be a Michelin 1 or 2 star restaurant when New Orleans gets star ratings. It’s as good as any restaurant in Manhattan, London, or Paris that costs 2 to 3 times more.
The decor is beautiful and understated in a large Victorian/Edwardian house. There is nothing “cold” about it as one reviewer alleged. I can be harsh critic of restaurants but I am at a loss to find anything that is not worth a 5 star review.

We loved Etoile and had an amazing dining experience. The restaurant is very nice and the staff is friendly and welcoming. You can walk around before dinner starts and see the kitchen and their herb garden and whatever staff is around will stop and talk to you. The meal itself was outstanding and the service was great. The chef comes out and talks to you and it is clear he loves what he does and is very thankful for dining with them. I wish I had taken some pictures but we were enjoying the meal so much I forgot. Very impressed and will definitely be back soon!

What an amazing night and experience! If you’re looking to make zero decisions and have an amazing meal, this is definitely the place. Chef Chris has curated an enjoyable tasting menu that allows you to experience each course in a way that doesn’t overwhelm the palate. The food focuses on French cooking techniques and sourcing from local farms as much as possible. It was a beautiful balance. For example, the Seared Red Snapper tonight was paired with a fried egg and crispy okra - providing a fabulous balance of flavors and textures. The chef also makes a point to come out and check on guests throughout the coursing. The rest of the staff are personable and make sure you have an amazing experience. When I return to NOLA, I will definitely be back.

We had a great time! The service was awesome, everyone was so kind and thoughtful. Drinks were great. Food was great. I think the portions could actually be smaller, with stronger flavors. We were SO full! But overall a wonderful dinner!

The food was phenomenal. Everything tasted incredible and I love that the menu changes based on what’s in season, it really shows in the quality. It’s great to see a place that sticks to a true farm-to-table approach. The staff were awesome. Everyone was friendly and made us feel really welcome. The music was great! The only thing that felt off was the atmosphere. The dining room (and entire home in general) felt cold and empty, which took away from the otherwise warm experience. It needs more coziness or personality to match the food and service in my opinion. Still, I’d absolutely come back. The food alone is worth it.
