Cafe Abyssinia Reviews
Beat salad was amazing! The veggie platter did not disappoint in the least. It rivaled some amazing Ethiopian food I have eaten in Los Angeles!
This is my absolute favorite restaurant in the GNO area, my ultimate comfort food. A menu full of delicious flavorful food, at reasonable prices.
Great Ethiopian food. Hard to find these little jewels. Will deff. be going back when we are in town.

Cafe Abyssinia is a hidden gem on Magazine Street, tucked away in a quiet location. The interior is comfortable and modestly decorated, with unique designs on the bowls and cups. The atmosphere is laid back, and the staff is friendly and understanding, making sure customers have a great experience. The food is the real highlight, with a focus on authentic Ethiopian cuisine. The dishes are bursting with bold spices and flavors, and are extremely filling. The menu offers a variety of options, including Sambusa with Collared Greens, Ethiopian Coffee, family-style plates like Split Red Lentil Stew, Fish Gulash, Lamb Alicha, Kitfo, and fantastic combo platters for first-timers. The veggie combo and lamb tibs are well balanced, and the fish injera roll appetizer is really good. Injera is served on the side, though some find it a bit sour. Prices are fair for portion size, making Cafe Abyssinia a great spot to visit.
