Nice environment, mixed drinks are a bit over priced though.
Not much to say about this bistro and Cafe. They did have a bar, I guess that's a positive. Food was lacking.

We really enjoyed our 1 night stay here on the way to Florida from Texas. The hotel was very clean. The service was outstanding. From the valet to front desk and concierge, the friendliness was outstanding. Prices were on par with other equivalent hotels. Valet was 45 a night, which is high, but that's the norm for the area. Overall, good stay. We would stay here again.
We are staying here now. The hotel is sufficient as place to sleep that’s relatively convenient to the FQ and CBD/Convention Center/Casino. But basically subpar service in every aspect. And no noticeable issue like a full house or understaffing - they’re simply not good. Housekeeping: After my first night here, I left for a business lunch, returned to my room at 1:30 and it had not been serviced. I called the Front Desk (more on that below) and was brusquely informed “well they have until 5:00 to do it.” Uh, ok. Second night here, return to the room at 3:00, unserviced. Figured we’d give it some time … no service. Called down at 5:00 to inform the Desk that it had not been serviced, and at least ask for some towels. No apology, no feigned surprise at the situation (and as of writing, 30 minutes later, still no towels). Valet: Upon my family’s arrival the circular drive was backed up into the street. Just cars that had been parked and left in the arrival area. Family eventually is able to pull up to find … literally 5 Valets (not Bellmen, that was a separate crew) just standing around. Family waited in the car. Not one Valet offered to open the car door, assist with luggage, provide instructions, etc. It was bizarre. On top of that it’s pricey. Which would qualify as “a little expensive, but whatever” IF they actually did their jobs. Otherwise, it’s obnoxious. Restaurant /Bar: Waited to sit at the bar/restaurant around 3:00 on a Thursday. Nobody around. Eventually the Bus/Water Boy told me to sit anywhere. I think the Chef may have doubled as my Waiter. I had 1 appetizer and it was fine. Concierge/Front Desk: Informed them of the Housekeeping and Valet issues as above, and once was told “I’ll take care of that” and other times no reaction/compunction. Just not that interested in how they’re failing, and no visibility as to how the one person “took care” of anything. Room: Can’t get the hot water to work. Bathroom configuration is very odd. Little things that in a nicer place/experience are idiosyncrasies, but with all the other issues they become annoyances. Definitely will not stay here again, and neither will my company. There are much better options to be had, in this area and at this price point. Those places will also presumably clean your room.
This hotel is very lovely. We had a wonderful time. The atmosphere and service were great!! The rooms are clean and spacious. The food at the bistro is delicious. You will love it. Close to everything you want to do in New Orleans.
Location: The location is very good. About a 10-15 walk from the French quarter ($10 uber ride). 3–5-minute walk to casino. The riverwalk is close by and I used it for a morning walk several times. Room: The room was very nice. There was a gap under the door, and this allowed noise from guest in hall to enter the room. Overall, the room was clean and well kept. Bar: We had drinks at the bar one day and the bartender was very knowledgeable and engaging. Valet (Park and Play rate) PMS Valet service The low scores are a result of PMS Valet service which is awful and not worthy of working in the Omni chain. It takes too long to retrieve vehicles as the lot is 5 blocks away. Additionally, the valets show no amount of hustle, no matter how many guests are waiting for their cars. At 7 am on Saturday morning I requested my car, and it took 30 minutes for valet to get my car. This made me late for my scheduled appointment that morning. Based on that, the next day, when i needed my car at 1 pm for another appointment at 2 pm, I made a request at 8 am that my car be ready at 1pm. The valet wrote something on the notes at the valet stand and said it would be ready at 1 pm. When I returned from brunch at noon, I mentioned it to another valet, because i didn't see my car. He seemed totally disinterested. Sure enough, my car wasn't available a 1 pm and we missed our airboat adventure due the incompetence of the hotel contracted valet service (PMS Valet). This resulted in me losing my temper cursing at the valet and the day manager, who threatened to have me removed from the facility. I eventually spoke with the security chief and explained the situation. I also spoke with the Valet supervisor (Mr. Paul) who agreed that the situation should never have happened and took $50 off my bill. I will never stay at this establishment again due to the valet service. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL IF YOU PLAN ON NEEDING YOUR VEHICLE DURING YOUR STAY.
So many things…. The good: Taylor checked us in. She’s awesome!!! I would give her 100 stars! Kenneth & Carol are a hilarious duo, super helpful. The bartender (I wish I knew her name) can really make some good drinks! Valet Mallory & Ni (I am so hoping I remembered those names right) were also great. The hotel is close to a lot of things we wanted to see and do. The room is ok. It’s clean, comfy, and COLD!! The bad: Day 1 our fridge didn’t work. We asked that the next day that it be swapped out. When we came back the ew fridge was just sitting in the floor, not plugged up. The old one was still there too. The new fridge was too heavy to move, so we had to plug it up to the desk which was inconvenient as we had laptops that needed to be plugged in. The next day I hopped in the shower and the picture in the bathroom fell off of the wall, puncturing the toilet seat & sending shards of glass all of the bathroom floor, toilet, and bathtub while I was in there. Luckily my sister was in the room or I would not have been able to get out of the shower. She also had to clean it up as, again, I was stuck in the shower. The last day we were there we came back midday, after our room was cleaned by housekeeping. We dropped some items off and went back out. Upon returning for the evening out door was left propped open & our luggage dumped on the floor. I’m sure the luggage was just knocked on the floor but it was irritating. When I called the front desk to ask why somebody was in the room and lit door left propped open, they said it was housekeeping. When I explained that we had already been in the room after housekeeping, the front desk clerk just kept saying it was housekeeping. Then said maybe we left it open, which could’ve been possible if the door was just left open, but no it was propped open by the latch. It was late at night & I just gave up. Nothing was missing, it was just sketchy and annoying. I’d say Taylor was a 10/10 but the things we encountered were not. Super disappointing.
Ended up coming here 3 times because the food was great.

We stopped by for a cocktail or two. The bartender was attentive. She isn’t from NOLA. She was hospitable nonetheless. Her specialty is a French 75 with gin. Pictured here is the drink in question and it was smooth. I chose Hendricks gin vs Seagram’s. You couldn’t taste the alcohol really. There are TVs so I was able to catch the game on the various screens visible from the bar. The nearby couches would have been more comfortable of course. If you are staying at the Omni, this works and will suffice for sports watching. Otherwise check out Mannings on the next block. Peyton Mannings spot has recliners in front of a big screen. I’m just saying.

Not a traditional 4 star hotel but maybe my standards are too high these days. We were on the 2nd floor around the corner from the gym. There was noise galore from the elevator, plumbing, and housekeeping throughout the day. It doesn’t wake you up but it is present. The staff at the front desk is nice and help when they can. The property can use some renovations but it works for a place to stay. It’s convenient for being close enough to Canal Street & French Quarters without being in the heart of it all. Good for walkers. Shopping is right across the street and Starbucks is 2 blocks away. The hotel shows it’s age in the cosmetic appeal of the room, faulty key readers on the room door, and the elevator interior. Only refrigerators come in the room. Nestle Pure Life water is available in the room for guests complimentary. There front desk sells a selection of goods like snacks & carbonated drinks. Otherwise, the local corner store may have what you need. Rooms and decor could be cleaner but they don’t bother. I will not be back.
The Omni Riverfront is a full-service hotel close to the convention center that promises upscale accommodations and partially delivers. The building itself is genuinely beautiful, inside and out. There is a row of sidewalk tables out the back doors that our group used often -- a calm oasis. The Omni has no onsite self-parking, only valet parking, but New Orleans has many street parking lots and nearby ramps. We parked about a 3-5 minute walk away from the hotel in a surface lot that we booked on SpotHero. All the staff we interacted with were pleasant. The rooms themselves were mostly clean (with the exception of a dirty kleenex found near the bed), though the build quality didn't quite live up to the hotel's image -- sloppy paint in the bathroom, a toilet that was not firmly attached to the floor and would wobble, and a tub faucet that hovered off of the tile wall. It surprises me in 2023 to find rooms that do not have outlets on each side of the bed (for charging phones) since this seems like such an easy win for user friendliness, but the Omni does not. The in-room desk could also benefit from an outlet splitter, since we had to unplug the provided lamp to use the provided coffeemaker. The internet was quite slow, unfortunate for a hotel at this price point that caters to convention traffic. We did not eat in the onsite restaurant, which has a limited menu and is overpriced relative to surrounding options. I did try to get a cup of green tea once and was told there was no green tea on the property, which is unimportant to me but a little bit surprising. The relatively high room prices would feel more justifiable if the physical quality of the rooms was top-notch or if there were any included amenities like a breakfast, which I know is not the norm for hotels in this bracket, unfortunately. Of course the bed was comfortable and we slept well. I would not hesitate to stay here again if I was back in town (especially if I had an event at the convention center), but would also not prioritize it over other potential options.
Food was fine. I had the tomato sandwich and the sweet potato fries were very good. But it was soooo slow. I came over lunch in a Sunday. Place didn’t look very busy but I waited a long time for food and for the bill.
