First time here, food was great. We had beet salad, the pork chop, fish and short rib. Everything was delicious good size portions. Will go back.

Nice atmosphere. Owner on the premises, saying hello. Pork chop as good as its reputation. Try the turtle soup. Different than any turtle soup I've had. And it's delicious.

Thank you for the attention and dedication you have shown our guest from Caesars. See how far you get in a conversation when you mention: alligator, oyster, and fish. Then go to Galliano and tried it for yourself. " No one cooks like this where we are from. Thank you for our last memorable night. Absolutely, 5-star finish."

Excellent food and service. Great atmosphere. Everything you want for a business or personal dinner out. Looking forward to going again on the next trip to New Orleans.

Came here with a group of friends during our NOLA trip and it was DELICIOUS. The noise level definitely got a bit too loud at a certain point which made conversations difficult, but every entree and dessert was incredible. If you can eat the chocolate brownie pecan tart, you absolutely must.

We had the turtle soup and pork belly appetizers, and cocktails at the bar with Claire! She was amazing. The smoked old fashioned was wonderful. We enjoyed the atmosphere and we can’t wait to go back :) Ben, Katie and Rick from Lafayette

So my goal is to immerse in the local cuisine. Eat what they do best. I found it tonight. We arrived at 6pm on a Wednesday night. We were first to arrive. The waitress was eager to help. She opened the door for us.
We picked a nice table next to the window and away from the door traffic. I asked for bottle water and a local beer
Both promptly arrived and poured. The beer Canebake is a 5%wheat ale, light refreshing without that high hop flavor. The water was bottled in Italy, clean refreshing taste.
Next we had the baked oysters, arrived hot from the oven, hugh oysters covered with a crisp crumble over a lite chesse topping. 3each were satisfying without filling. I wanted to try a local dish for the entrée. Found it!
One of the house specials, "Swamp Pasta"
Fettuccine pasta, with shrimp, sausage, alligator covered with wine cream sauce.
Rich comfort food!
My wife had the seafood gumbo.
A small bowl arrived with a rich dark sauce.
Not those thin clear broth.
But dark meaty
, though it was a reduction but roe with sausage.
Satisfying comfort food, flavors filling your palette.
After completing this astonishly satisfy meal.
The waiter suggested desert. The list include the standard pie, cake and ice cream
, but wait one suggestion caught my ear,.. Bread pudding with banana.
O.oooo really?
Now this sounds interesting!
Bring it on!
A small cast-iron skillet arrived riding a wood plank. Hot from the oven. The suger glazing still running off the sides. I swear it was steaming. A dense bread pudding with slices of banana. Swimming in the hot glaze. Couple of scoops of vanilla ice cream on the side for support. Ooooo how good!
By the time we finished only one other table arrived and a couple at the bar. Both were locals, so they know this hidden gem. But the tourist crowd has not found it. Go before it get lost in the tourist crowd.

The waiter was awesome. She was telling me to repeat what I said about the sweet potato mash and after that we had a conversation. She was such a vibe. I promised her I will come back the next day so she can make me a drink but I got busy at work. I would definitely be visiting again because the food was good but the people was even better.

The appetizer jambalaya with the fried oysters was amazing. I am not sure what they or how they fight them oysters but I could sit there and eat a good two dozen.

I DREAM about this gumbo all the way from Georgia. I cannot wait to return and eat here. Everything was delicious but the gumbo was one of the best things I've ever eaten. I tell anyone going to NOLA to eat here. Fancy atmosphere. Excellent restaurant!!!

Menu is great, but some of the flavors were off. Cocktails were excellent. The turtle soup had an unusual flavor. It had a heavy clove like flavor that 2 of the 3 of us did not like. We really liked the seafood stew.
