Great American Cookies

Ordered a cake for 10 AM. Not only did not deliver on time, but came out with the completely wrong design than what was shown on the pickup screen. I asked for it to be changed and I was charged for an extra $22 for their mistake. Do not go here.

I called the Great American Cookie Company at the Riverwalk to order a going away cookie cake, and the owner took great care of me. I only gave a pretty vague description of the look I had in mind, but they somehow read my mind and made it come out exactly right. The decoration looked great, the message was written perfectly, and the cookie itself was fresh and delicious. Everything was ready on time and it made the send-off even more special. Excellent service and a great product. Highly recommend.

HORRIBLE!!!!! H.O.R.R.I.B.L.E.!!!!! DO NOT GO HERE unless you want a cake that looks NOTHING like the one you explicitly ask for and describe!!!! Waste of money and such a disappointment!!!! WHOEVER MADE THIS YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED!!!!!!! WHAT THE HELL IS THIS????? Inserting the inspiration picture and then what we got FOR SIXTY DOLLARS MIGHT I ADD!!!!! If I could give negative stars I WOULD!!!!!!!!!

Now replying to response I got. We did contact directly. And we also tried to insert the picture. We know it was not a cookie cake but we also provided a description online that said all we wanted was a weenie dog with some balloons tied to its tail and “23” in the balloon. I can insert a picture of the receipt that includes this description or contact you directly. Not ONE direction was followed. Someone at the store also called my boyfriend directly the day before we were set to pick it up asking to clarify about the design and he also gave another description over the phone of what we wanted because the previous description we gave was not feasible for the cake. You can say whatever you want, we never expected perfection, that picture was only for a general idea, and again we provided a detailed description which I will happily include a photo of that is printed in the receipt. That was simply unacceptable and should not have been $60 being we got absolutely 0 we asked for. I wanted to call the store that day but my boyfriend informed me both workers there when he picked it up seemed to not care at all so I didn’t bother. Unacceptable and I will never get a cake from this location again.

Never disappoints. Have ordered my son’s birthday cake year after year and they are always spot on with his random decorating requests.

Asked for a hello kitty design at the bottom and WASN’T placed on there. I paid extra for it and it wasn’t in there so I had to go back and get it. Also the word valentines was smushed together as they didn’t take into account how “big” the word is. It’s didn’t even have a question mark on it.

The owner and staff mannerism will make you want to return . My favorite Great American Cookie Company .

The cookies from here have always been my favorite. I was excited to get a few on my recent trip to New Orleans. I was very disappointed to find cookies that were supposed to be chewy to be old, rather odd crunchy. A waste of $12.

This place is in the worst location, trying to find it is like trying to find an evil and a haystack. Then when I get there, the guy is making a big cookie. I asked if I could buy cookie and he said he was busy and pointed to a sign that says be back in 10 minutes. After all that effort and to be treated like that and no one available for business was disappointing. I’ll find another place to buy cookie, no thank you

I love Great American Cookies. I am actually eating one right now as I am writing this review. We walked up to this location and wanted to order some. A young African American man was alone behind the counter. The conversation goes like this:Us: We asked for Chocolate Chip.He asked: which ones?Us chocolate chip right there (pointing to the tray in the window with chocolate chip)Him: with m&m?Us: no, just the chocolate chip.Him: so you want m&m or no?Us: just the plain chocolate chip right there (pointing at the tray)Him: I don’t know what you’re pointing to, I can’t see it.We just left.I am sure someone there interviews this man before putting him behind the counter. I do feel sad for him because he will meetup with the wrong person one day and they won’t just ignore him & leave.

Our son got married in New Orleans recently. He doesn't enjoy traditional cakes and always wanted cookie cakes growing up. I wanted to bring that element to the Rehearsal Dinner. I worked with the owner to create a suitable cookie cake. Jason was great to work with, made the process easy and even delivered the cake to the restaurant for us. Great experience.

I traveled out of town to give my daughter a NOLA (Saints) experience for her 8th birthday! The owner and team at this location was efficient and completed my order in a timely manner! They literally saved the day as I was not able to travel with a cake! Thanks!
