Not what we expected. This restauran was, according to the website, the best Gumbo place for many years. First we were ignored with no one taking our order until we called a waiter. Then Gumbo was not hot (temperature), and flavor not what we expected. Perhaps this is the real gumbo and we are just not compatible with it? We will need to find another option to compare.

Food and service was excellent, our server Brandon made such good recommendations we didn’t even look at the menu, I had never tried gumbo or crawfish before and we had all loved it, he also was very accommodating to dietary restrictions , he was very quick at taking our order (we just listened to his recommendation and said you do you), he also gave us some off menu items, the desserts are amazing but very hard to eat a whole one especially after having a meal just because the portions are so good, the decor was also very nice and local.

The food was amazing. Service was exemplary, the ambiance was a little lacking but that was due to the
construction outside. Not really anything they can control. But overall we enjoyed our time there very much and left very happy with wonderful food in our belly's.
We would definitely recommend!

We couldn't tell the gator sausage was gator meat, the sauce came with was fantastic to eat the sausage with.
I loved loved my order or crawfish pasta! Their garlic hot sauce was so good we bought two bottles!

Lost Authentic Cajun food in NOLA. Delicious Gumbo, Jambalaya & Etoufffee. Shrimp Creole not as good. Bread Pudding was good but sweeter. Should serve with Vanilla Icecream. Exceptional service

Seafood gumbo was so good! Could have ordered a 2nd bowl. Never had a shrimp po boy so I don’t know what to compare it to but it was good.

Tourist trap! Beware. Indifferent hostess wishing she was elsewhere. Per waiter’s recommendation, I ordered a combination plate of Jambalaya, red beans & rice, and shrimp etouffee. It was “slop”. Thrown onto a mid-sized plate. Half was cold, the other half lukewarm. The jambalaya rice was mushy, the red beans tasted like it was right out of a can of beans, and the etouffee was as bland as a glass of water. My waiter had a great personality and provided good service but the kitchen failed big time. The best part of the meal was the warm bread and glass of coca-cola.

So good and atmosphere was top notch, the server was a little impatient and annoyed at us asking questions or suggestions, that we ordered waters and not drinks, and asked for extra bread.
