Pirate's Alley Cafe Reviews
They made me take off my romper in front of men.
Stopped in here because it looked so cute and welcoming. Ordered 2 drinks for a few of us because we had never tried it. Unfortunately, as soon as we ordered, we knew we shouldn't have. They scammed us out of a real absinthe experience "because it's Mardi Gras."
Im sure they're a great bar normally, but last night wasn't it. There were no sugar cubes. No slotted spoons and probably the worst customer service I've...read full review

Pirate's Alley Cafe is a charming and cozy spot tucked away in a quiet corner of the French Quarter. The bar offers a traditional absinthe-making experience, with the option to watch as your drink is prepared. The friendly and knowledgeable staff are happy to guide guests through the extensive absinthe menu, and some bartenders pour the drinks correctly, ensuring a great experience. The music echoes off the walls, creating a lively and inviting atmosphere, perfect for a fun and unique time. The bar is definitely a dive bar, and the karaoke nights are hilarious, loud but still easy to talk and laugh over. The view of the cathedral adds to the old New Orleans feel. Though they do not serve food, the bar is open late, making it a good place to relax with a drink. Themed decor and a fun vibe make it a popular spot for those seeking a different experience. The bar is cash-only, but an ATM is available on premises, and the bathrooms are clean.
