Went to New Orleans for a visit...just to get away. While out walking one day, say the bar from the road and it looked as if the customers were having a great time. Decided to go in and check it out. Boy, am I glad i did!! What a place! EVERYONE was friendly. Pearl was the bartender and even though the bar was VERY busy I felt like I was the only customer in the bar. I went back the next day and some regular customers were meeting at Boondock Saint to celebrate their wedding....read full review

By far my favorite bar in NOLA. A local friend of mine recommended it as he knew I'm fond of dive bars :-)Just a half block off of the chaos of Bourbon St - I've never seen this place too crowded - even when there are people lined up across the street to get in to another bar.No nonsense bartenders, reasonable prices for a tourist area and the noise level is low enough you can have an actual conversation without shouting.Adding to my list of great dive bars around the country...read full review

This was one of the only places I made it to multiple times while on my trip to NOLA. Loved the atmosphere, and the bartender is amazing. She was very friendly and professional. Great drinks, and the bartender even remembered my friend and I's drink orders when we came back in the second time. This place is a relief from the craziness of Bourbon Street and I definitely recommend it.
