Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ

This place is so fun & the food was excellent. We had the shishito peppers, dumplings, & Kobe steak with sake. All fabulous, I highly recommend.

A totally new dining experience!! The food was exceptional, service was excellent, & cooking our own meal was a very novel experience!! We laughed & enjoyed the entire meal! Everything was delicious!! The 6 in our party all thoroughly enjoyed the outing!!!

We have been to Gyu-Kaku many times and nearly every time it has been a great experience. This visit was not one of those times. There was only one sever in the entire restaurant. While he did his best, obviously service was delayed and inattentive. Several of the items that we ordered were never brought to our table. Because we did not see our server very often, it was impossible to get the issue of missing items rectified. We enjoy eating at this restaurant. I hope they address the staffing issue prior to our next visit

Food was very good, waitress was very attentive came to check on the table and change the grill many times.

We live in the neighborhood and eat here monthly. We sat for 15 mins in a nearly empty restaurant with staff passing left and right and no one offered us anything. Half of our order was incorrect. Drinks and food. The service and quality are really starting to suffer and it could partially be a lack of interest by staff In doing a good job. Staff outside smoking weed on the corner in clothes with the restaurant logo on it. They need to take a hard look at staffing and quality.

It was a really fun time. My kids really like the experience as did I. I thought the value was good and they let us bring a birthday cake!

Server left my table. Never came back to check on us. Raw empty plates was all over table. No water refill on table. Order beer- never came. Ordered white rice. Never came. Asked some other girl server to give to us. She came back in a minute with rice. He was too busy “talking to the girl” at the bar. Never once checked on table. Management didn't do anything except look at table. Asked if we wanted the bill still? When we were asking for bill.. Left without them giving our dessert. It was package meal. For 156? Left 20$ for the girl (think her name is Jess ? ) who gave me the white rice. Bill was around 220. Worst customer service over. Management didn't seem to care.

Food is delicious and high quality. Fun time for a date or to go eth a group of friends! I would NOT recommend for kids that have curious hands - definitely can be dangerous if you burn yourself. Service was a bit slow and not very attentive, but not terrible, still polite and we got our food eventually.

Even with being understaffed (as our server had explained to us in the upmost politest way) let me tell you service, good quality food, drinks, the vibe everything 100/100 if I could give it 10 stars personally I would! We drove a little over an hour to try it out and I cannot wait for the next trip back over to New Orleans just for Gyu-Kaku!! The server made my boyfriend's birthday night well worth remembering and the Mango Tango and Tokyo Iced Tea were PHENOMENAL!!!

Service wasn't great. Employees sitting around playing on phones. Didn't let us pick the tip. They don't even give you the copy to add a tip. They write it on the receipt.

Great food - my grandson and his friends had a blast cooking their meat at the table! The lunch menu was very reasonably priced! Highly recommend!

You can’t complain to anyone but yourself since you cooked it! lol a fun experience with friends or on dates. Just have your wallet ready!

Very pricy for what you get, and the grill is so inefficient that the meat takes forever to cook. Do NOT get the pork belly. It was pure fat (cheap cut). Surely there are better options out there.
