HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!!. went to the restaurant on a Friday, 9/20/24 evening about an hour before close, the restaurant was pretty full. My husband and I waited at the front for a greeter, we could see workers bustling around so we waited. No problem Finally, a worker approaches near and begins to gather bills and payments from customers nearby. She then turns to my husband and I and says "excuse me" so she could get to the register. At this point we are just standing there in her face. This worker NEVER ADDRESSED US!!! A simple hi guys welcome in I'll be with you in a minute would've sufficed but to literally ignore us was simply RUDE, unprofessional, and just POOR SERVICE really curious why we were treated so poorly but I'll never find out now, we won't be returning. If I could give less than one star I would.

Got takeout from here on a Sunday night. The food was disgusting. The katsu was mushy and the chicken was of very low quality. The ramen broth was decent but the pork was a black grey mess that we did not eat. I will never be back.

They won't seat you if you arrive 30 minutes before closing. I ended up at Haiku today because Hana was closed. I'm so glad they were closed. The quality of the rolls at Haiku was so superior to Hana I'm never going back to Hana.. The rolls coat $1.00 or $2.00 more but they make up for it in ingredients. There's such a significant difference!!!

The food is great and the service is good...provided you don't arrive within an hour of closing. If you do, you will likely be told they are out of rice, fish, water, etc. I waited tables through college and I get that people who come in 10 minutes before a restaurant closes are the worst, but the staff here shuts down seating earlier than anywhere I've ever known. If they truly don't want to conduct business after a certain time, then they should close an hour earlier or simply clearly post a house policy stating no seating past a certain time rather than lie to repeat patrons.

I can live with the fact that the service was extremely slow, but the salmon was not fresh and the color was off. I took a bite of it and spit it out because it was sour. The tempura batter was cakey and not fried well. My wife did, however, enjoy the noodle salad. We paid and left, but I was immediately sick on the drive home. I will never go back. This is sad because this place used to be a favorite, but has really gone downhill over the years.

A Japanese restaurant in the city with a very good value for money and one of the few restaurants that is actually run by a Japanese sushi chef. It has been open for almost 30 years and the chef is very experienced. The sushi and sashimi are very fresh. (Let me tell you a secret: they restock every Friday and Saturday.) Their portions are also larger than other restaurants. However, they are very busy at night, so it is recommended not to dine there during peak meal times, as their waiters will neglect to take care of you because there are too many customers. I recommend going there during happy hour in the afternoon to enjoy the service, which is ideal.
