The coffee was too weak. The oatmeal raisin cookie in the display at the counter looked twice as big as the one I actually received.

Just one of those places where you feel comfortable as soon as you walk in. Greeting; you as soon as you walk through the door. Sweets are as good as they look. And prices are very affordable. A must see. When in New Orleans period!

Nothing beats walking around Nola (we did about 8 miles this day!) and hitting up all the good eating and drinking spots! Well, if you’re on Magazine Street near the Irish Channel area this is a must stop!! Every delicious bake item you could ever want. We focused on the Doberge cake slices (and they have entire little cakes as well); the Gooey cakes (can’t beat the traditional Almond gooey); and a couple cookies (original chocolate chip and also the toffee). Every item was SO delicious.
And the service and friendly, lovely lady behind the counter was so nice. We enjoyed talking with her and getting her recommendations.
Thank you!!!
Hope you will enjoy like we did.
And PS… we have learned that they ship and deliver. Yikes. We will be ordering soon.

The best service, the woman helping me out was so friendly and gave some recommendations on what flavors to get. I ended up getting the caramel doberge cake and a slice of king cake.

Doberge cake: The cake itself tasted really good and was super moist. The custard didn't really taste like much though, but it had a nice creamy texture. The caramel icing tasted really really good, but it was waaaaay too sweet. If it had 1/4 of the sugar, it would've been more enjoyable.

King cake: It was basically just a stale cinnamon roll with way too much frosting on top. I wouldn't recommend it.

Everything was just so overly sweet, and the things I got weren't super memorable. I don't think I'd try anything else from here.

Great service and baked goods! Shout out to the folks who work here. Super sweet and helpful.

Absolutely terrible customer service. The employee never greeted us or offered any assistance, and when my six-year-old child simply touched the glass, she verbally disciplined her as if she were her own. Completely unacceptable and unprofessional behavior. It was clear she had no interest in helping us at all. Disgusting and disappointing experience—we will not be returning. If I could leave 0 stars I would.

Ordered a cream cheese king cake to be delivered to Dallas, TX this year and it was a hit! I appreciate that you can schedule delivery beforehand. Delivery was delayed a day due to weather and it was still fresh and ready to serve upon arrival. Will definitely order again!

Great looking selection of pastries and all kinds of sweets, tried one of their Gooeys and loved it!

My favorite lady, who I make sure to visit every time I’m in town since moving to Atlanta , is the absolute best. ALWAYS cheerful, personable, friendly and I can’t get enough of her. As a born and raised bestbanker, she makes me feel like family any time I pop in. This pretty lady is the epitome of what New Orleans is all about. Haydel’s is so lucky to have her.
And the kingcakes, turtle’s and petit fours are the best too.

Wandered in here after eating supper across the street at Red Dog. Don't even remember what all we got but it was all good hahaha

This bake shop is situated in a great area. It’s very cute inside and we were provided great customer service, however, this is the only food experience we found disappointing in New Orleans. We tried the peanut fudge, brownie, chocolate chip cookie, and one more item which I forgot. None of the desserts were to our liking. Everything was entirely too sweet, almost exaggerated. We ended up discarding half of everything.

Lovely local bakery. Reasonable prices, friendly employees. Parking in front is paid parking.

Stopped by on a recommendation for a good bakery, found King cake bites. They were awesome, my wife and daughter got a taste of what an actual King cake was, not some frozen grocery store version.
