Ikura Hibachi And Sushi

Second time coming here and wow! The staff is great, our server was quick and super responsive. The hibachi chief was so fun even though we were across the room!! We will definitely continue to come here

The food was absolutely fantastic! They have a Hibachi area that’s nicely set apart from the dining area. I’d definitely recommend this restaurant! While the atmosphere felt a bit dark during the day, I can totally see it being the perfect romantic setting for dinner. I didn’t eat in the Hibachi area, so I can't say how much fun everyone was having there, but I heard the show is excellent! The sushi was delicious, and the chef was super accommodating, making a slight adjustment to my order just the way I like it.

Let me say this the Bourbon roll is a 100/10 the hibachi was the problem. Lacked flavor, shrimp over cooked.

Went there today day and they had flies in the garlic butter that hey serve in the rice and they tried to scrape the top off as fix with no manger supervisor or owner on staff stay away

Ikura used to be a favorite when I was at Tulane, so I was excited to visit again while in New Orleans, but it was a complete letdown. We ordered the same dish twice, and the portions were noticeably different, which was bad. Why the inconsistency, shouldn't you match the first dish that was served? The curry ramen was especially bad: a hard-boiled egg instead of the jammy kind, overly salty, and the meat was tough and bland like it was just boiled. Curry ramen used to be my go-to dish... The other dishes were average at best.
Really disappointed to see how far this place has fallen. I won’t be coming back.

Hibachi chef and food was great, but other service and wait were terrible. We had a 7:30 reservation, we were not seated until 8:10, and our hibachi chef did not arrive until 9:00. A drink was spilled all over the floor behind us and was not cleaned up before we left (30+ mins). Food however was pretty excellent and the Hibachi chef was friendly.

1p lunch Thursday. No one inside. Maybe 3 ppl. Place looked dirty. Ordered sushi, had 3 pieces and stopped. I'm sure the owners are nice people but if you're looking for sushi, this place is not it.

I literally have ate here a lot and enjoyed the food. I called to just see if they had WiFi to eat and study to knock out 2 birds with one stone. The waitress was VERY rude on the phone. I was going to eat food anyways from there, but after her tone rude I will just go to another sushi place.

The service ws th worst, I asked for ymyum sauce and was severed from the container that it's house in and squarted onto my plate ( not in a separate container so that I could ad how much I wanted.
