Just love Irene's. We visit every time we are in NO- about 4 times a year. We always request to dine at the bar. From what I can gather a lot of locals sit at the bar. We always meet great ppl while there and the food is always some of the best we have all week. The lamb chops are amazing -the sauce on them to die for !!! All the Italian dishes are excellent as well- and I frequently order the chicken rosamarino and duck is excellent as well. This review is baking bd want to go back 1 more time before we leave!

Great experience. We love dining at bars and meeting new people, Irene's may be the best bar dining we have experienced anywhere. Thanks to the maitre d for finding a couple of seats at the bar for us. Our bartender/server was outstanding..knowledgeable and very personable. Sorry I forgot his name but he he doubled as the piano player. If your visiting Nola, enjoy a really well dressed crowd and excellent service and food, don't miss this place.

Our only complaint was lack of a child's seat (hi-chair). We were able to have an enjoyable long meal with friends, and bring in a stroller for our toddler to sleep. A hi chair would be nice.

It was my birthday and they played HBD on the piano and brought me a dessert with a candle burning. The food was amazing! I got lasagna and hubby got the whole fish. Our server was awesome! The place is beautiful. Beautiful decor! We will be back!

And finally, the food was awesome. The beet salad was so good. The duck and filet special were great. Then, the pecan bread pudding with bananas foster was the crowning jewel of a totally fantastic meal. We will definitely go back soon. This experience makes Irene's my New Orleans favorite for fine dining.

Lovely setting in the French Quarter. Our waiter Andrew was great. Explains everything and was well versed in the menu. I started with the baked oysters and they were delicious. We both had the beet salad and it was very well presented and very good. She had the chicken and I the shrimp and crawfish with fettuccine. Good food. We finished with bread pudding.
