The fois gras doberge may be the best appetizer in the city.

Came for drinks only, and we had an amazing time. Great edgy creative cocktails and the best staff. Shannon was a delight! Super friendly and attentive.

Cocktails here are out of this world good. It makes sense it’s listed #6 on the world’s top 50 best bars. The service is great, the people are friendly and the atmosphere is sophisticated but still warm and inviting. Highly recommend the matcha colada but you can’t go wrong with anything you choose.

Top notch service. Water glasses are filled by everyone for everyone at the table. Food came out with detailed explanations because some of us needed that. Food flavors were great.

The experience in this high end cocktail bar was incredible! The interesting and unique cocktail offerings were amazing and watching the bartender make cocktails was truly a great experience. Do not miss this bar, ranked as one of the best in the USA and I couldn’t agree more!

Most “Best Bars in New Orleans” lists include Jewel of The South and the hype is real. It’s worth visiting, not just for drinks, but for food too.On a Saturday night in April, my mother-in-law and I walked in around 9 p.m. without a reservation. After waiting for around 20 minutes, we got seats at the bar.Her liking more stuff drinks, led her to order the Night Tripper. Mixed with bourbon, she’s a fan.Enjoying more sweet and sour drinks, I ordered the Harlequin per the bartender’s recommendation. It was refreshing! For my second drink, the bartender steered me toward Feast of Avalon. A complex drink, it drank smooth- and excellent cocktail!Cocktails are between $14-$17 per drink. The space is beautiful with a small bar, dining areas, and an outdoor courtyard. The restrooms are beautiful as well.Service is top notch balancing friendliness with letting you have your space.

I was really excited to come here for my birthday dinner. I saw the ratings and was more then ready for an amazing meal.I sat outside since it was a nice night for it. I was immediately met with mosquitos. Maybe some sort of bug deterrent would be good for outside.Cocktails were okay but not mind-blowing and everything tastes like something I've had before.Food was a real let down. Part of my fois gras was frozen. So while it tasted amazing the frozen spots were off putting. The crab and scallop raviolo was a mess of textures. I found a bunch of shell in it and ended up sending it back. They took it off my bill which was nice. Best part about the meal was the nutmeg custard. That truly stood out and I would order it again.

Jewel of the South is a very nice bar in New Orleans, with a British type of dishes and drinks. It was a nice experience, but nothing extremely flashy. As one of the best bars in the world, it's really no different than a nice restaurant. You will still like it however, so I think it's a nice drink and small bite to eat place.

We did not eat at Jewel of the South but the food being served around us looked really good. The cocktails we had were first class and the service was friendly, attentive and very nice. The atmosphere is also very nice, with comfortable seating and attractive decor. There is also a great outdoor patio in the rear.Vegetarian options: Some non-meat items on menuDietary restrictions: Staff will try to assist with restrictions you make them aware ofParking: Free on street and paid lots nearKid-friendliness: More an adult environmentWheelchair accessibility: Partially accessible

Lived up to the hype. Excellent service (thank you for the spirits recommendations-will be hunting those down) and cocktails. Only had drinks but the food looked good.

Imaginative and delicious drinks. The shmaltz and duck fat washed rum was unbelievably amazing. The server was generous with his attention and knowledge. Highly recommend!
