Everything that I was looking for. Cold beer great musicians. Fun jazz.
Stopped in Saturday after Thanksgiving to see the band.
Happy to pay a $30 cover. You're not going to get a more authentic jazz ensemble with that much talent in such a small venue for less. These artists tour with a much higher price tag outside of the Tremé.
Cash only bar, like most places in nola.
Highly recommend for all music afficionados.
Be thoughtful of where you are if you're a tourist.

Had an amazing time here on a Monday. But after reading the reviews it seems like we were the only people to have paid a $30 cover which leaves a sour taste in my mouth. Also I seemed to pay double for cocktails, $15 instead of $8. Seems like disingenuous business practices are pretty common here.
Fantastic atmosphere. When car noise and jazz merge into a party 🎺🎶🚗

One of the last black owned jazz bars in Nola this is a place when you can see some of the worlds finest musicians who will blow your mind with their absolute mastery of bar room jazz and how it should be done

National treasure. Can't find a better place to spend a Tuesday night. Kermit is a living legend. If you enjoy good music, then you will not be disappointed. The night I was there, Irvin Mayfield in the house. Best weeknight music, hands down. Well worth the $20 cover charge. Support local, keep this place alive.

Amazing Monday night! Genuinely one of the most fascinating musical experiences I've had in town!
This is a staple in New Orleans so I had to go and listen to the live music. The establishment is a small, quaint and intimate, but has a great vibe. I got to see Kermit Ruffin and his band play and they were awesome. He gave a tribute to the legendary Frankie Beverly who died about 3 days ago. My daughter and I had a ball. We danced, sang and sat back and enjoyed the performance.

This is a great place to unwind in the evening and listen to great jazz music. I didn't eat the food but I enjoyed the drinks. Great entertainment in added surprises. Will come back. Kermit is very entertaining and his daughter even performed that evening

I've been to a lot of places to hear a lot of music in NOLA, and this was one of my favorite experiences. Kermit and the other musicians are amazing and the home style chicken was fantastic. Intimate space. Great people. Can't beat this authentic NOLA spot.
