This is an amazing place! I ordered through doordash and ordered the chicken sandwich, yuca fries and the fried mushrooms and Wow!! First the chicken sandwich was super big and delicious. But honestly everything was amazing.. Spiced right and I mean barely could get my mouth over it. Soooo good. You definitely get your money's worth 100%. I was in town for the weekend and by far the best meal I had the entire weekend. Thanks for the wonderful meal.

Flew into MSY for a meeting in Baton Rouge and decided to seek out THY MOST PHENOMENAL "vegan-with-New-Orleans-spin" kinda food.....and the heavens answered by leading me to Kindred. The Owner is the one who took our order, made our mocktails, and explained why she built Kindred. The flavors, the food presentation and pairing, and genuine care for the best customer service confirms Kindred was built out of LOVE! (Sorry.....food was all gone before I could even snap a shot of it.) We had the shrimp po-boys, the FANTASTIC mushrooms (SUPER crunchy AND not a drip of oil), desert and the 'ckn salad' sandwich to go (for the 1 hour drive to Baton Rouge). Even with all we ate, we didn't feel tired and were actually energized from finding this gem!

As a vegetarian, I have always had a bit of trouble finding something for me in some of the restaurants in New Orleans. I was pleasantly surprised to randomly find this wonderful vegan restaurant while roaming around the city. We were the only people in the restaurant at first so we were served quickly. The woman who served us was super friendly, helpful with the menu, and gave up plenty of time to figure out what to eat and drink. I had a wonderful quinoa salad with a tasty dressing (which was named after the restaurant). The fried Brussels sprouts were amazing! I also ordered a old fashioned which was quite good. Not usually a huge fan of cocktails, but why not!I have a significant amount of vegan food, and this place has some top notch dishes. Highly recommend even if you aren't veg. There's a little but of something for everyone. You won't miss animal product at all. Such a nice and relaxed spot for a bite and a drink or two. There was a bar for seating as well as a number of tables and chairs. Really enjoyed the atmosphere of this space as well as the food!

Although I wasn’t very familiar with vegan food prior to dining at Kindred, I enjoyed it! We had the mushroom poboy, the cauliflower poboy, and the barbecue cheese fries. The poboys were tasty and well seasoned. Although the cheese for the fries didn’t taste like cheese at all, and had more of a nutty flavor, they were still quite good. The mocktails were also tasty. The restaurant was very empty when we ate there, but the service was very friendly and warm.

Most of the entree menu items were unavailable. The food was okay at best. Service was fine. Overall disappointed.

Service was a little slow and nobody paid attention to us after the food was served. But the food itself was really good. Quinoa salad was amazing. Prices are a little high. Everything is vegan, so that makes this place a great option for vegetarian and vegan folks.

Food sucks. Service sucks. Takes at least 90 minutes for a salad. Just go somewhere else.

Great food about 4 from the Quarter so a Lyft is needed if coming from there. Casual with great recommendations from the staff. The meatball was one of the best I've had in awhile (super fresh French bread, perfect meatball to sauce ratio and the cheese didn't interfere with the sandwich), a solid Botanical Sabbatical mocktail with just the right balance of flavors, yucca fries nicely lightly breaded. The quinoa salad was a nice size, very filling. Good gluten free choices so you won't have only one choice. Staff was great - good tips and checked in several times. Fun music playing as well.

The salad was delicious and had the right amount of spices for me. My husband had the meatball sub with a side salad which he thought was delicious as well. Even though we ordered takeout, the service was great. We will definitely be ordering from them again.

Damn! This place did a really good job. Loved their vegan cauliflower poboy. The service was great and the food was delicious. Highly recommended for anyone looking to have a good time. The chef actually came and asked us about the customization we wanted with the sauce. Loved it!!!!!Best place is New Orleans to have vegan / cauliflower poboy. Definitely coming back for the crunchiness ;)
