Flew into MSY for a meeting in Baton Rouge and decided to seek out THY MOST PHENOMENAL "vegan-with-New-Orleans-spin" kinda food.....and the heavens answered by leading me to Kindred. The Owner is the one who took our order, made our mocktails, and explained why she built Kindred. The flavors, the food presentation and pairing, and genuine care for the best customer service confirms Kindred was built out of LOVE! As a vegetarian, I have always had a bit of trouble finding something for me in some of the restaurants in New Orleans. I was pleasantly surprised to randomly find this wonderful vegan restaurant while roaming around the city. We were the only people in the restaurant at first so we were served quickly. The woman who served us was super friendly, helpful with the menu, and gave up plenty of time to figure out what to eat and drink. This is an amazing place! I ordered through doordash and ordered the chicken sandwich, yuca fries and the fried mushrooms and Wow!! First the chicken sandwich was super big and delicious. But honestly everything was amazing.. Spiced right and I mean barely could get my mouth over it. Soooo good. You definitely get your money's worth 100%. I was in town for the weekend and by far the best meal I had the entire weekend. Thanks for the wonderful meal.
