listen. we should not have been invited into this time establishment in our state, but we were, and we had the BEST service and meal. I wish I were close enough to go back all the time. our waitress told us the best stories, and we want to meet her grandma and have them both visit us in Wisconsin. thanks for putting up with us and being so lovely!
We had dinner here last night and it was good so we decided to stop here and have a drink at the bar tonight.
I noticed a bourbon I wanted was on the menu for $19, which seemed like a good price so I ordered a pour. The bartender said that was $38. I pointed out that the menu said $19 and he said that was out of date. I would have left them but my gf was already having her drink so we couldn't at that point.
The food was good but the drink menu was deceptive...read full review

Kingfish offers an outstanding dining experience in the French Quarter with delicious food and exceptional service. The servers are known for their warm personalities, knowledge of the menu, and attentiveness to guests' needs. Standout dishes include the jambalaya appetizer and catfish with crab. Guests have recently highlighted the fried green tomato appetizer and the Alfredo pasta, which was described as "TO DIE FOR." The restaurant is perfect for special occasions, and guests appreciate the effort made to ensure a memorable experience. Generous portions and an excellent wine selection contribute to a highly recommended visit. Many have praised the authentic Louisiana flavors, with dishes like the catfish Huey, blackened scallops, and shrimp fettuccine receiving high praise. The ambiance is fun yet elegant, with a lively but not too loud atmosphere, making conversations easy. Guests have enjoyed the comfortable indoor temperature, and outdoor seating near open doors onto the quarter adds to the charm. Service is prompt and friendly, creating a wonderful experience for large groups or intimate dinners. Many guests enjoy brunch here, especially the kingfish & grits and the Cochon de Lait benedict. With friendly staff and flavorful, well-prepared meals, Kingfish remains a top spot for delicious Louisiana-inspired dishes and a warm, inviting atmosphere.
