I got into New Orleans late on Amtrak. By the time I got downtown to my hotel, most of the dining rooms of the fast food places had closed. I saw Krystal on the map and that it was open 24 hours. I then remembered it was on Bourbon Street, therefore had no drive-thru. The dining room was guaranteed to be open. When I got there, it looked like a madhouse. I thought it would take forever to get my order. But they have a well-oiled machine there and it soon became food theater. My...

The people that work there make Krystal what it is. They know it's been a rough night in nola, and all they want is to get you fed well and cared for. It's my favorite breakfast spot.
