Had to check the place out. It’s not very big but it is pretty cool inside. Service was super quick, pours were big and the prices were good.
Go, drink tequila, sit in the back with the piano in the dark with your friends and people watch.
My wife & I were visiting New Orleans for the first time (two year wedding anniversary) and we were told we HAD to come here! So glad we did, such a cool place!!! We loved the history, and the overall vibe…we fit right in! Lucky Lee was there playing live music and we sat right at his piano! We ended up staying for a few hours and had so much fun!!! If you’re in New Orleans, this is a MUST stop.
Neat building but the bartender served an incredibly strong drink to my friend and refused to give any water when we asked despite having towers of disposable cups literally in front of him and he demanded we pay for a bottle. Worth seeing it but get your food and drinks somewhere else
Fun spot with live music, great drinks, and friendly service.
Had a great time! Tried to go there a couple nights but was so packed. Got in one night and the ambiance was awesome. One of my favorite spots of our entire visit.
This place is iconic!! We didn’t want to leave. We sat at the piano most of the night and loved the energy. You must try the purple drink.
French 75 tonight it is the oldest bar in New Orleans
What an absolute vibe! Loved the aesthetic and set up for the bar which was like a straight up dive bar. We got the famous purple drank and a sex on the beach. We were convinced by someone there to get the drunken cherries and they did NOT disappoint. Yall need to check this place out if you’re in NOLA.
Chrissy is an amazing bartender!!

Lots of history, must stop for a drink! Heavy pour!!
The sazerac at this place is my favorite. But the slushy purple drink is great also.
Other than the historical significance, not a lot to brag about here. The signature drink is a alcoholic grape slushy and the rear of the bar smells like vomit!
Love the purple drank. It was perfect for a pub crawl and in the New Orleans heat/humidity.
Two words - Purple Drank. Loved it. So much fun
