Lukewarm at best food. Fish was dry. The topping was supposed to be a mushroom, crab sauce. It was three slices of maybe sautéed mushrooms, no crab or sauce. Crawfish spoon was cold and dried out as well and I don't recall any crawfish in it. Asparagus were hot and cooked well as were the Bang bang shrimp. There were only two tables occupied when entered, and took 15 minutes to get a glass of water and a drink. The app came out and before we were finished our mains arrived. Waitress handed me my plate in my hands. I had to push the appetizer plate away so that I could set my dinner plate down. Appetizers plates, weren't removed until we were halfway through our meal. Appetizer serving plate was never removed from the table. Midway through, we ordered a second glass of wine. The glass of wine didn't come until we were finished our meals. Terrible service and terrible food.

I enjoyed a side of red beans and rice...nice Smokey flavor. The noise level was a little bit high but maybe because it was a Saturday evening. Overall, good experience.

I heard a lot about the Tackle Box and I was excited to finally get to dine with them. Walking in, it looked like a really nice restaurant, and I was excited for the opportunity. Unfortunately, I had the smoked oysters and was not impressed, they had a very gritty taste, and just not as flavorful as I expected. Since it was late, I was only going to have the loaded gumbo soup, again. This was a disappointment. The shrimp were gritty and it didn’t have a memorable taste as a whole. I’m sorry, but I could not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Not all the dishes on the menu were available, at least the day I was there, I had to order another dish that was not as described on the menu, the waiting time is too much, in the end I ordered a burger and it took a long time to get to the table.

The food was very good, restaurant was beautiful but the service was awful. Went in at about noon on a Saturday, not very busy. Waited roughly 45 minutes for our food which was good but the table behind us waited even longer than us for cold food. We could have just gotten unlucky but overall disappointed in the service for a restaurant of this caliber.

Everything was excellent. Paige was a rockstar. Had a mishap with the oyster order. She corrected it in a jiffy. Would definately go back.

Page was an awesome waitress — super attentive with a great personality! The corn and crab chowder was incredible, and the bartender absolutely nailed the hurricane drinks. We may or may not have had one too many!

Stopped in because of the convenience. It is located adjacent to the Renaissance Marriott. It took a good 8 or so minutes to be acknowledged to be sat. The place was dead on a Wednesday night. After being sat I waited another 10 mins for a server. She was very nice but had only been working for a week and wasn't able to answer menu questions.

Since I had sat for so long with the menu I decided to use common sense and I ordered my drink, an appetizer, and my meal at the same time, since attention to guests seemed a bit off. My mistake!! My appetizer and dinner arrived about 2-3 minutes apart.

Ordered the alligator poppers. As other reviews have stated, they are good.my main dish... not so much. The shrimp and grits had no flavor!! No amount of salt and pepper could salvage this dish. Which makes me so sad. The best shrimp and grits are always in New Orleans. I have never been disappointed... except this meal. Some shrimp were cooked perfectly the others were over cooked .. gray and chewy. Cheese is not a seasoning. My dish was covered in it. The roux for the shrimp and veggies was clear and thin. Not use to that in this dish. Because of these issues I barely touched my food. Since I'd been traveling all day and I barely touched my dinner. I ordered dessert... if you eat here just ordered drinks and dessert! You will not be disappointed in those dishes. The bread pudding is really good

Tonight I waited over 30 minutes for my food after ordering. The server was kind and apologetic about them being short staffed, and the food was good once it finally arrived. However, the real problem happened after I left - about 8 minutes later, an additional $14.65 mysterious charge appeared on my debit card (separate from my bill and tip).

When I called to ask about it, I was asked a bunch of questions as if they have multiple types of issues and I was told, “Sorry, our system is old and this sometimes happens. It MAY fall off by Monday - call your bank if it doesn’t.” That is completely unacceptable.

Overall, this was a terrible dining experience. The unexpected charge alone makes this place untrustworthy, and I cannot recommend it. Save yourself a headache and eat elsewhere.

Update: They charged my card twice for the total cost of my meal. Had to have my bank dispute the charge.

Very nice restaurant huge bar dining area is comfortable and cozy — staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Lots of good food options prepared “New Orleans Style” Which I’m learning is a lot of butter and kind of greasy, but the taste was good from the appetizer to the dessert - thank you!

Where to start? First, the menu online is not the menu that is presented at the restaurant; we were looking forward to trying the shrimp remoulade Caesar and the kale Caesar was on the menu instead. Second, the food served doesn’t match the food on the menu presented; we ordered a kale Caesar with French bread croutons and received a Caesar with zero kale and pitiful Sysco croutons that looked like they came straight from aisle 7 at WalMart. Third, we received our meals separately; I received my redfish st. Charles 10 minutes before my boyfriend received his salmon. Fourth, the food was average; the redfish at. Charles tasted like the redfish I broil in the oven at home with butter and seafood magic. The asparagus were overcooked and stringy, and the salmon my boyfriend ordered was overdone as well. We’re local and I wanted to tell a fellow diner who seemed to be from Australia that she should go somewhere else to eat because this place wasn’t a good representation of our food. Y’all need to do a lot better.

We went for happy hour for the half off oysters. We had a dozen raw oysters and 8 charbroiled oysters. Both absolutely delicious. I got a $3 beer which was supposed to be a $5 beer due to a misunderstanding in price. We decided to get the Tackle Box platter but it came out either under cooked or over cooked. The waitress took it upon herself to get the manager after we said no and just wanted to pay for the oysters and beer. We're glad she did because the Manager took care of us with some more oysters. We appreciate the service. Thank you

Sam, Zac, and Maggie were all AMAZING servers that made our stay absolutely amazing. They were knowledgeable, kind, and friendly about drinks and the area. I would highly suggest visiting this restaurant as drinks and food were wonderful. 10/10 experience.
