Staying at the Meridien, we were tired and decided to check out the bar food rather than find a restaurant nearby. Knowing so much about the food in New Orleans, we thought that bar food could not measure up. Were we wrong!! The food was excellent, I had a grilled provolone and mushroom sandwich with fries. Friendly service, now part of the Bonvoy chain- but that means professionalization- which I apprecitate. Very good bar food. My drink was fourteen dollars which I thought was very far ( yes it was hotel prices, but they weren't hijacking you). We were staying in the hotel so we came here a lot and never had to wait or get a drink that didn't have the right proportion of alcohol.
