The Beignets were amazing! I recommend the traditional over the chocolate. Also be sure to get here early. I showed up 10 mins prior to opening and was 2nd in line. When the register opened at 9:20 (20 mins late) the line was already wrapping around the store. The end of the line is in the sun and I would not want to wait in that.
Literally the best beignets I have had in NOLA. I always go for the sweet ones (in this case chocolate filled with nuts) which was super delicious. I decided to try the crab one (seen in the picture) and I am so glad I did. Super good I regret not getting more. My friends really enjoyed the pralines too. I also really enjoyed the staff. There was a lot of people waiting in line, so much so that our curvy line ended up outside. One of the staff members came and checked on everyone...
Okay, beignets from this spot are soo good. I know everyone talks about Cafe Du Monde but, personally I believe they are better. Softer, lighter, more airy. It’s what imagines beignets to be.
