It was a very nice way, to end a night out at festivities. I went with a mojito& it definitely hit the spot. Had to try out their version of an elote… not bad at all. I didnt have much of an appetite. My company had the sampler & totally helped myself. Easy to chat & convey. Atmosphere, low lit and inviting

The pollo griliao and the maiz de la rueda was to die for! So flavorful and juicy! Fresh passion fruit juice was delicious. Unfortunately service could have been improved. Arrived at 9:09 pm on a Wednesday well over 30 minutes before the kitchen closed. As soon as we sat at the bar the bartender began rushing us to place an order lying and saying the kitchen was about to close as an excuse. I immediately told him we felt uncomfortable and rushed and decided to move to a table instead of ordering at the bar because he was so impatient and was ruining the vibes. Our server was very friendly but he kept forgetting to bring us utensils and plates. Then when we got home we both had upset stomachs from the food. The food was amazing regardless and worth the mild stomach upset lol but the service most certainly could have been improved.

Best yuca frita and limeade I've ever had! We got the copitas de cangrejo appetizer and it was so fresh! I got the cubana arepa and my friend got the costillas de cerdo (pork short ribs) and both were amazing!! On a Thursday, we easily and quickly found street parking and a table.

This homey restaurant is a MUST next time you’re in town. Absolutely delicious food, quality drinks, and great service in a trendy yet approachable setting. It’s so nice to order at a restaurant that’s 100% gluten free!

This was one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. The drinks, appetizers, entrees, and desserts were amazing across the board. Not only was EVERYTHING delicious, but the menu was accommodating to the dietary restrictions of people in our group (gluten-free, vegetarian). Next time I find myself in New Orleans I will definitely be coming back!

Our second visit to Mais Arepas was as good as our first: great service by all the staff, amazing food and dish presentations. This restaurant’s menu is completely gluten-free. We tried the day’s special of wine marinated pork belly: delicious! The appetizer of empanadas (4) were super crispy and tasty. We opted for the trio of arepas (chicken, marinated pork, shredded beef) as the main meal. It was more than enough to walk out completely stuffed! Try the spicy Aji sauce to kick it up a notch!

Been many times and have tried everything on the regular menu. I hope everyone gives it a try, they are consistent and imaginative, unique flavors packaged in large portions. It's better than strictly authentic arepas because of the New Orleans influence. It works, meeting or exceeding high expectations.

I really enjoyed this place, the food is prepared very well here. I recommend trying the yucca/cassava fries (🤤life changing). This isn’t an authentic Colombian restaurant it’s a mix of Colombian & Louisiana Creole. If you’re feeling exotic or want to get a taste of a different culture, I would point you in their direction. I will be going back, as I am very interested in trying out other menu items.

I bring all my visitors here. Arepas, empanadas, non alcoholic options, are all fantastic. The arepas do seem more Venezuelan than Colombian

Amazing find in New Orleans!

Stumbled upon this gem by pure chance. From the moment you walk in, you’re transported to this chill South American vibe with really tasteful decor. Alexander greeted us - super nice young guy who recommended the daily special!

Two stuffed arepas served over a bed of lightly spiced sweet potato puree.

The corn masa was perfectly golden and crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. The generous filling with melted cheese and shredded meat had incredible texture and authentic flavors that just hit different.

The sweet and savory sesame seasoning with a subtle kick was absolutely mind-blowing. The combo of the sweet potato’s smoothness with the hearty arepas was pure perfection.

Highly recommend this spot!

Five stars - definitely coming back soon!

Our server Carrie was a peach; very knowledgeable and helpful with recommendations for food that would fit with my food allergies. The food was delicious and plentiful, and the Mojitos were delicious as well!
