Mahogany Jazz Hall is a great place for a cozy, authentic, and close up jazz venue experience. Gerald French trio including the outstanding Paul Longstreth on piano was fantastic! Fritzels has a similar vibe for traditional jazz. This is a great addition to New Orleans music options. We’ll be back.
A gem of jazz: the perfect atmosphere, knowledgable bartender with gorgeous cocktails, authentic, low key, friendly. I was especially happy we could sit outside with our teenagers to listen even though the hall itself is 21+, perfect for a middle afternoon in NOLA.
A helluva way to end our trip to NOLA! This place is pure magic, with a cozy, candlelit vibe! The music was absolutely phenomenal: rich, soulful, and full of that New Orleans heart you can’t fake.
Our server (whose name, sadly, vanished somewhere between cocktails) was warm, welcoming, and an absolute delight. She introduced us to absinthe like it was a rite of passage—and it was delicious. Smooth, mysterious, and perfect for the setting.
