This place is ridiculous! We got there around 1am and this band called Toubob Krewe went on stage! We weren't even planning to see them and it was seriously one of the best shows ever! We were at the front dancing the whole time! Their music was very unique and relaxing. The bartenders were super sweet and fast. We met a bunch of the locals and everyone was extremely friendly and generous. We will definitely go back next time. They have a really cool outdoor area in the back...
My favorite live music venue in New Orleans. I've been visiting the Maple Leaf since I moved to the city in the late 70's. Great music and great vibe!!! Be sure it's on list of places to visit.
New Orleans institution. Seen in the movie Angel Heart. There is a large, welcoming, outdoor smoking area in the rear that is a great feature. Lately the music being booked has been pretty mediocre but the place is so iconic you can always find a way to enjoy it.
