Me and my boyfriend go here quite often to order food from The Original Slap burger. We ordered tonight just like normal, and we sat down. Not many people were in the bar area. We didn’t order any drinks because we are sober and the bartender came over to the both of us and asked for our IDs. No problem. Mind you I’m 24 and my boyfriend is 26. His birthday was a few days prior. She checks his ID and very rudely says he can’t be there because it expired a few days. And we she said yeah it expires on your birthday in a very snarky way. I think it was a bit of a power trip and ridiculous. I hope she becomes less miserable. It’s sad.

The original slap burger is awesome this is not about that. Me and my girlfriend were sitting waiting for our food and the kind of ogre like bartender came over and carded us both. I didn’t realize my id was expired… for 6 days… on my birthday… we both didn’t order any alcoholic drinks but she kicked us out. I’m 26 years old. Sad that the best burger in the city is guarded by a terrible troll.

If you want to experience New Orleans culture, this is the place to visit. Great burgers in the back, (Original Slap Burger) and very well priced drinks. We will definitely be returning.

Not sure if you can find anyone friendlier than the folks that work at the bar or the kitchen. I ordered the OG cheeseburger and omg, it was really good. I will return next time I'm in town. Very limited seating.

This is a true dive bar and locals dont want you to know about it. Everything isn't for everyone but this place was for me. Loved loved loved it. Drinks on point. Nice people (AJ was the man) and food AMAZING.

My wife and I had a few drinks here and some great burgers! The burgers were fresh and seasoned well. I had the large Mack and my wife had the western. The drinks were good and priced very well.

The bar tender Diana/ something similar needs to be let go of her position. She is absolutely so disrespectful to everyone who enters the bar. I have experienced her wrath on several occasions, and have seen in it first hand two or three times as well. Last night, she got physically aggressive and was provoking a regular - pouring out her drink, throwing chairs around, yelling all because the customer stepped outside to smoke a cigarette. This bar closes whenever it feels like it even when we fill it up with a bunch of our friends who are buying multiple drinks per person and ordering from the kitchen. She is the only bartender who hates her job and is vocal about it- constantly complaining and cussing, putting chairs and tables up at 8 and 9pm then wants to say “I’m so broke” as she is constantly deterring customers and treating them poorly reducing her tips. This bar needs to let her go because this has been going on for too long now and I waited to speak on it hoping her attitude and behavior would change. And if she is potentially a high position/ manager then I am so not sorry for speaking on it because that is the worst way to run a business that survives on customer service. She has cussed out serval of us for no reason at all (a ball accidentally fell on the ground, my friend asked what liquor they had, asking when they close, etc). Before she keeps kicking more people out of the bar, she needs to remove herself first. Find a wfh job far far away from society. Poor representation of New Orleans and its business culture. “Just put the fries in the bag, bro”

Phenomenal food. Maybe best of the week's trip.

Unassuming dive bar with an absolutely solid Bloody Mary! They make their own mix and slip a little bean and olive in there to make it a snack.

In the back is slap burger it’s wonderful, but I will not go to the bar in the front.
