This restaurant was recommend to my group & I by a gentleman named Michael that works at the Hotel Monteleone. I’m happy we trusted him because Mena’s was incredible! Great quality food, and service. One of the chefs even came to ask what we thought about the food! Great place! Highly recommend!

The owner is 82 years old and has owned the place for 49 years. Breakfast was fantastic old school basic expertly prepared. The home fries I think are simply boiled potatoes and onions then grilled a bit-best in my life. Beignets amazing. Lunch baked chicken and dirty rice the same approach and fantastic home style cooking.

The potatos were good. Shrimp omelet was ok. The grtis had no flavor and the cooking/ consistency was no the typical, it had a gel ish texture.

Wonderful to still find a little old New Orleans in the Quarter that isn't overrun by tourists. Great meal. (And the place turns 50 this year!)

Mena’s Palace is in a great spot in the French Quarter—it’s easy to find and right in the middle of the classic New Orleans vibe. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and when I went, there was no wait at all, which was a nice bonus. The atmosphere really has that classic French Quarter feel, with plenty of character.

I ordered the eggs, toast, and potatoes. The potatoes were on the greasy side and overall the food was pretty average, but the pricing is fair and about what you’d expect for the area. All in all, it’s a solid spot for a casual meal in the French Quarter, especially if you want friendly service and no fuss.

My husband and I found this place a few blocks from our hotel. The food was absolutely good. The fried green tomatoes, Catfish and omelet was so fresh and seasoned just right. Will definitely go there again when we visit New Orleans.
