Food and vibes were so good! Def recommend for a girls night out. Menu changes a lot so I would get anything that looks good to you. Staff was so kind and really looked out for me.

Such a great + creative menu! The cocktail program was fantastic, great flavors overall with thoughtful touches throughout - you can tell everyone there loves great service and food, presentation and menu concepts were really so interesting and above and beyond delicious!

Liked that they were able to lower the hot spices on some dishes.

We were seated right away, we ordered some delicious cocktails and we ordered the two person brunch special. The atmosphere of the restaurant is super eclectic and cute, but it was very hot and there were a couple large parties that made it loud, our waiter offered to seat us in the cocktail lounge when we first sat and I wish we took him up on that ha oh well. The food was delicious and the two person brunch special could have fed four people haha we took some home. Overall very fun and delicious.

Mr. Maos for me was completely unexpected in the best way. Another eclectic restaurant whose food is asian with touches of Indian and mexican. Absolutely delicious. I rate based on overall experience and this was a great one. Sam was a wonderful waiter. Personable, happy at his job and seemed very proud of the food that was being served. As this is a sharing restaurant he gave us an idea of how many dishes to order based on our parties size and then when we were ordering told us if what we ordered was good for our group size. The pani puri and fried chicken from the spicy portion of the menu were great. Chicken was extremely crunchy but still juicy and had a nice heat but definitely not overly spicy. The pani puri was very interesting. Its a hollow crunchy shell that the spicy mint water was poured into. You pour as much or as little of the mint water as you want so you control the heat level of each bite. Very fun and tasty. Strawberry chaat was a fun salad with crispy bits and tons of flavor. Hanger steak was cooked and seasoned well, probably one of the least inventive dishes but would order again. Most items we tried were new to us but would happily eat all of them again. A fun lively restaurant with inventive food, an overall great experience.

1000/10! Mister Mao did not disappoint! HIGHLY recommend making a visit to this beautifully done restaurant. Not only was this menu right up our ally, but the team, especially the manager Brit, along with Abe, and our amazing servers, Sam and I WISH I could remember our other severs name (you know who you are!), just completely went above and beyond for my Grandmother's 90th Bday Celebration. We were quite a large party and they were so accommodating and helpful to make our afternoon so special for her. Mister Mao is a true representation of what community and family means. Thank you to everyone who served us last Sunday! My family and I will forever cherish this day.

I went here to celebrate my birthday and was sadly disappointed. I found the food to be really salty and even though I knew the prices were going to be expensive, it's hard to spend over $200 on a meal we didn't love. Our server was great, the atmosphere was nice, our drinks were good, but the food just didn't hit. We had 4-6 different plates including the Brussel Sprouts, Crab Bucatini, Pani Puri, Fried Chicken, etc.

This is a can't miss. Every dish was incredible. I'll be dreaming about the Lechon Kawaii tonight. Service from Nate was outstanding. The aesthetic was like nothing I've seen before. Phenomenonal work from everyone involved. Thank you!

Incredible food, atmosphere, staff, and a HUGE variety of NA drinks. Wonderful service from top to bottom; especially Andrea, who went above and beyond to make sure we had a variety of crafted mocktails.

Could this place be any cooler?! The decor is on point, so playful & chic. The staff are so engaged, helpful, fun, & happy. And the food/drinks are unforgettable—just so tasty & unique! I am a total shill for this restaurant.

Per the encouraged format, we ordered lots of small plates, including the sunchokes (amazing) & the scallops. Great flavors & lots of variety here. I’m not a big fan of spicy food, but the spiciness in many of the dishes didn’t detract from the flavors—it really added to it.

The new “kitty milk” cocktail is a home run for anyone who likes creamy drinks. And the gelato dessert was an incredible little night cap (though I could’ve done without the strawberry jam on top).

Our waitress Gigi was the best waitress I’ve had at any restaurant, what an amazing character who did everything in her power to give us an incredible evening. She was knowledgeable about the menu and enthusiastic about making sure we had good drink/food pairings and that we got a verity of things. When my friend and I got our entrees, mine was pretty cold, but we were brought a new one at an incredible speed. It was thanksgiving, and they were very busy, so I completely understand.

From the thanksgiving prefix menu that we went for, the appetizers were interesting, and good. Nothing incredible, but tasty and interesting bites to get us ready for the meal. The entrees were pretty awesome. The steak with sweet Brussels was simple but really good, and the turkey curry was incredible. The smors ice cream pie was to die for. The turkey curry followed by that pie could be my last meal and I would be happy with that.

The atmosphere is beyond compare, at least where we sat in the room by the kitchen. There is tons of interesting art to look at, great lighting, and eye-catching art-deco fixtures above the kitchen, that make the dining room an iconic and memorable place to spend the evening.

Overpriced. Service and ambience need no adjustment. The food was not $45/pp good. Bayona is a better choice

If you don’t like spicy, this place is not for you. If you would like to be able to understand what other people are saying, sit outside. It’s deafening inside. There wasn’t enough wait staff. We ordered a 2nd drink, but waiter didn’t remember what it was and came back after a long while. He was working tables in more than one room. At that point we decided to leave and get dessert elsewhere. It was our anniversary and the entire meal was unpleasant.
