Mister Mao is by far my favorite brunch in New Orleans. Their San Francisco Garlic Noodles are absolutely incredible, and I'd eat them everyday if I could. Their dumplings are all also amazing, as is there fairy bread (cinnamon toast crunch nostalgia anyone?!) and their fried chicken!! The Kasmiri Fried Chicken is available at lunch and dinner, so you can get it whenever you visit. Very creative cocktails and nice NA selections for those that don't drink. The service...
Truly a gem of a restaurant. The sharable plates are perfect for a group dining out, great cocktails , fun atmosphere, and great music soundtracking your meal. But the best part is the food, everything is fresh, delicious and seasoned to perfection. If you like spicy food you will be in heaven . Def recommend!
This review is for Thanksgiving service. My husband and I sat at the chef’s table. We’ve eaten here before and always love the food. The food was OK on Thanksgiving (lacking in some areas and has been better in the past) but 3 star rating is mainly for the service and more so the lack of food safety when handling ready to eat food.
