I had the smoked sausage, cabbage, and red beans with rice. I was honestly surprised at how good it all was., since it’s a precooked almost cafeteria type feel to it. The sausage with the cabbage was very good and the red beans with rice was one of the first times I actually enjoyed this dish. Great place and I would recommend it to anyone.
First time I was in New Orleans and I heard that Adam Richmond Man VS Food was here. I had to go to get the burnt ends and of course gumbo with a side of shrimp and grits. I returned the next morning for breakfast sandwiches. Yummy yummy yummy yummy yummy. When I return to New Orleans I will be coming over to Mothers.
Def put this on your list when visiting NOLA. You gotta catch it at the right time because lines can form around the block. They serve breakfast all day and lots of dinner items like their famous ham. I have been here a few times and I always go for the debris. It’s a roast beef dish with au jus. This visit I had their biscuit with debris and egg. Delicious! Highly recommended for a hearty breakfast. It’s highly organized. Get your menu, be ready when you get to the counter...
