Today was my first time ever trying African cuisine, I am now definitely a fan!! I had the Egusi soup with fufu, it was genuinely one of the most delicious things I’ve eaten in a long time. So filling and flavorful, absolutely worth every penny! I only finished half, so the portion size was great!

This is a hidden gem in plain sight! Me and the bestie stumbled across Ndindy's by an accident of the best kind. Friendly helpful smiling service. Food prepared fresh but still quick and delivered to us tableside with pleasant conversation en Francais. Wasn't very hungry so we just grabbed a few nibblers but they were so tasty and well seasoned that I can't wait to come back for more. I think I'll be working my way thru this menu 1 week at a time!?

The food was better than expected. We ordered almost everything on the menu and was amazingly surprised about how good they all tasted. And the owner is an amazing soul. Will always go there when we visit Nola.

I decided to try Ndindy African food restaurant today, it wasn’t hard to find, just look for the large Africa picture above the door.Upon arrival I first noticed the lovely African art on display. There is large poster with all of their menu items on it. Which included a variety of African dishes, I decided on the curry goat with fufu and the di bi lamb with rice.It took over 45 minutes to get one of my dishes and it wasn’t correct. I ask for rice but got cold fries, which wasn’t African at all, so that dish was spoiled for me.The fufu was the best part of the curry goat, however I was very disappointed in the portion size of this dish.Overall a nice place to try as long as you’re not in a hurry to get your food. I recommend that you call in your order 1 hour in advance to avoid waiting for long periods!

This place is a Gem!! If you are a local or visiting New Orleans don’t second guess! Delicious food and wonderful Customer Service plus lots of vegan options. Overall experience 100%. I enjoyed the orka stew & Egusi fufu. Not pictured vegetable rolls and meat pies demolished them ? I’m a local and can’t wait to return??. Delivery options a plus!!!

Ndindy does not serve authentic Senegalese food. It taste like someone with no culinary background decided to come to New Orleans and open up a restaurant. My husband is from Côte d'Ivoire and he was not impressed. The fish was cold, dry and unseasoned. The thieboudienne was cold, dry, and tasted like ramen noodles. Upon entering the restaurant I saw a large bottle of bouillon open in the kitchen, so I assume that's what they use to season some of the dishes. It's a shame that it's so difficult to find delicious African food in NOLA. My mama tried Ndindy a few weeks ago and she didn't like her food. I assumed it was an off day and gave them a chance. To the owners, please invest in a real chef who can make authentic Senegalese food! Get rid of the bouillon and use fish and shrimp powder. If you sold this food in Senegal, very few people would buy it because it has no flavor.
