Would Not Recommend to Out-of-Towners or Anyone Expecting a Real Reservation Experience
I made a 1:00 p.m. reservation on a Saturday at Nice Guys NOLA, expecting—like anyone would—that it meant we’d have a table at that time. As an out-of-towner trying to be respectful of how busy the spot might get, I booked in advance in good faith. Imagine my surprise when we arrived and were told that our reservation was not for a table, but just to stand in a line. A long, club-style line in the heat, just to maybe get seated before 3 p.m.
Let me be clear: the bouncers and security were great. Genuinely polite and professional. My frustration is directed squarely at management and ownership. Even the bouncers admitted the setup is confusing and said they’ve received this exact complaint many times. That should say enough.
I saw multiple bridal parties walk away. I saw guests sweating their makeup off waiting in line for over 45 minutes, only to maybe get inside to… sit around and not really do much. The DJ was solid, but the vibe inside did not match the hype or the effort it took to get in. Honestly, it looked more like a scene to be seen than a place that valued customer experience.
To make matters worse, after not being let in under their own bizarre system, the restaurant reported me to OpenTable as a no-show—despite the fact that I was physically there and denied entry due to these ridiculous policies.
Bottom line: this was a huge letdown. If you’re from out of town, do yourself a favor and skip Nice Guys. Their practices are misleading, inconsiderate, and unlike anything I’ve experienced in any major city—and I’m from Chicago.

Food is horrible! Absolutely no seasoning. Vibe 10/10! You will be asked to leave after an hour and an half no matter if you have food and drinks on the table.

This place was the worst I have visited in NO. We came on a girls trip from Houston. The food was horrible. I ordered catfish and Grits and the catfish was refried and the grits were watery. My friend had pancakes and they were half done. The Manager came and said she was not exchanging and we were responsible for the food. I sent mine back and I was still charged. Was told that the manager was coming and she came to the table only to not resolve the issue nor did she care to make it right. Waitress had an attitude after I sent my food back twice. I paid and I will never return. Definitely will not recommend to anyone.

My food was COLD, the service was mediocre. We was celebrating my 40th Birthday she never acknowledged my birthday, even after we told her, It was not worth the hype, they literally ruined my birthday celebration.

This was my first time visiting Nice Guys Nola and it didn’t disappoint!! The vibe is EVERYTHING so don’t come with no negativity or bad vibes!!! The food was hot which is most importantly!! But Bri service was Top Tier!! She made sure we were well taken care of.
