Terrible experience. Poor customer service and the food was not good. Ordered a pizza and it was bland and thinner than cardboard. Not only that, but our entire receipt was wrong with inflated prices. It felt like they were trying to not have us notice and charge us more. Worst food I’ve had in New Orleans!
We recently visited from Indiana and New York, and this place was fantastic. We ate there one night, and decided with all of our choices that we’d go back a second. The staff is welcoming, and personable - but more importantly the food is amazing! If you like pasta with homemade sauce, and perfectly crispy pizza, this place is for you!
This used to be our favorite place in New Orleans to get chicken parmigiana. After our recent visit we found out that the restaurant is under new owner/management. The food was really fresh to taste, not like our first time at all. The owner really went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. It was not quite the same.
The online menu and printed out menus handed to us at the restaurant are inaccurate. The pizza was tasty, the waitress was pleasant, and the patio was lovely; however, we came here because the Tuesday special was 1/2 off bottles of wine and $5 pitchers of beer. Although these supposed specials were listed on the menu given to me at the restaurant, apparently the restaurant is now BYOB. No big deal, Canseco's market is right next door so I just went and picked up a 6-pack. Then, we order a large Tuscan pizza listed on the menu as $18.95. I receive the bill and was charged $25 before tax for the pizza. When I asked the waitress, she informed me there was a 30% inflation since Jazz Fest (over a month and a half ago) and apparently the menus were just not up to date. I didn't actually mind the price, I just hated the lack of transparency and felt somewhat bamboozled (also nothing was done to rectify the price discrepancy, I was just told "I'm sorry for stealing your money" by the waitress).Overall, good pizza and atmosphere but just know that it is BYOB and that you will be paying more than you think.
At first I was a little put off by the style. We walked out the first time because you had to order at the bar, off a handwritten note with some menu items on it. And you had to get your beer elsewhere. Wait, what? But after doing it anyways because the staff was really nice, we decided to get some beer at the nearby store and order a pizza. The draw was the fantastic patio, where we enjoyed the (ok) Pizza while watching the hundreds of people streaming past, on their way home from the Jazz Fest.Beet salad with spinach and goat cheese: Ok, with a few small crumbs of goat cheeseSpicy shrimp pizza: ok, with four tiny shrimp found - a bit scrooge it seemed.
Our flight was cancelled, so we walked to Nonna Mia as we had seen it during our stay. It is a cute neighborhood restaurant in a house. Staff was very attentive and food was great. BYOB with a nice selection of wines at the market a couple doors down. My wife loved the lobster ravioli. I had an excellent pasta. Very reasonable prices. I would return.
A lovely place to enjoy a meal while watching Esplanade Avenue flow by. The artichoke dip is sooo good with it's accompanying garlic herb toast! And I loved the tortellini. C'est si bon !
food was terrible, we ordered the eggplant and the meatball marinara.. both portions were small and burnt. sauce tasted canned.eggplant parmesan is always a casserole dish and not 2 burnt pieces over pasta!
The food is absolutely AMAZING!!! The owner is so sweet and her staff ! you can tell they put love in it and it’s a homemade ! Obsessed with the lobster ravioli and basically everything ? we are trying to order Everything off the menu as we go! This is definitely a fav we go every other week if not every week now !
Great pizza. We were from Fort Worth Texas for the rock and roll marathon. Amazing lobster ravioli. Awesome experience.

Nonna Mia has always been wonderful, and in fact it's AMAZING!!! We have been fans for years, but now with Chef Lea at the helm, this has become our honey hole. It's a must when visiting NOLA!
Amazing. Catered my wedding party during May of last year as well. The food is amazing. The atmosphere is amazing. The staff is amazing. And the owner is a doll! Love it! Highly recommend!
This place is amazing. The food reminds me of what my Sicilian grandmother used to make for us at home. I recommend with extremely high marks!
Absolutely terrible. This is supposed to be my to go chicken Alfredo. No Alfredo sauce and no season on the chicken. Noodles taste like raw garlic. And it cost $21. What a waste!!! Never eat here.
