Outstanding experience. Everything was great from our waitress Nancy to the Chef/Owner himself. We enjoyed a great visit with Chef Shermond Esteen. His bread pudding with fresh made rum sauce is the best we have ever had and we are from Arkansas where bread padding is a staple.
We will definitely be back each time in NOLA.

I had a great time at Nonno's! The vibe is cozy and relaxed, perfect for satisfying your Cajun cravings. The dishes are flavorful and generously portioned—everything from the spicy jambalaya to the delicious pastries was spot-on. The staff was friendly and made the whole experience enjoyable. If you’re into bold flavors and comfort food, this place is definitely worth a visit. I’ll be going back for sure!

Nonno’s is a whole vibe! I came in from out of town on Friday night, and we were just looking for something within walking distance that was still open. They had a dj and were getting ready to start karaoke. The music playing was a millennial’s dream. Nice blend of 90s-2000s hip hop and r&b. The staff was all dancing and singing to the music, genuinely enjoying being there.

I had a breakfast shrimp and grits, which was amazing. I’ve never had more perfectly cooked over medium eggs.

My teen daughter had the catfish sandwich. She said it was one of the best sandwiches she’s ever had.

We will definitely be back!

This is a must have when in New Orleans. I used to drive from Tampa to Ms to pick my granddaughter up or drop off. Ever since I found Nonnos We fly to New Orleans so I have an excuse to get my Gumbo. We go as soon as we get off the plane. The Gumbo is like no other absolutely amazing. I love it so much I go every day Im in Nola. We haven't had a dish that wasn't amazing. The French toast, the fried wings the oysters. You name it its amazing. I love sitting outside, there's always a group on the sidewalk with the music flowing. The vibe is what I go to New Orleans for and Nannos provides every bit of the Nola vibe. The owner is very involved and down to earth. A wonderfully attentive man. The girls are amazing every last one of them. Thank you so much for making my favorite meal in the whole world. If I didnt say it enough the Gumbo is worth all the gold in the world if they could ship it Id get weekly deliveries. Don't walk, Dont Run Fly to Nonno's and get that Large bowl of Gumbo extra rice. You'll Thank me later.

Charged 5$ for a 6oz dr.pepper. toilets don't flush, floor sticky and unclean. Bathroom doors don't close properly. I ordered a beverage and they kept the change. Do not recommend.

We came during our visit for my sister's 16-year wedding anniversary, and I must say the service and food were all great. We were treated like family. We even had the pleasure of meeting the owner and his adorable son, who was trying to win over our women—one of the coolest little guys you will get to meet while dining here. I highly recommend dining in. Don't get the food to go, or you will miss out on the best part of coming to Nonno's: the hospitality. There's nothing like being far from home but getting treated like family. Truly, thank you for a great meal and an even better time.

Found this gem by chance and was thankfully rewarded. Had my first Poboy experience here and I've never tasted such fresh succulent shrimp. Really kool inside feel with bar and sit down options. Can't wait to go again and experience the backyard vibe.

Our server was slow. He got our orders wrong. He spilled my drink on me. The food was undercooked and then refused to remove it from the bill. Worse experience and unacceptable

We were excited per the reviews we read, so let me start of with the server( Ms Red head since we didn’t get her name) we asked to start for two waters. She brought out 1 water and two straws, after tracking her back down and asking for another water she brings a small sippy water in a bottle mind you the other was in a glass and two straws. So now for the food menu, our first request
1. The lamb sorry we don’t have Lamb. We wait another 10 minutes for her to come back for another selection.
2. We asked for the Red Snapper let me check to see if we have it. She forgot about us and tracking her attention again we asked what about the Red Snapper let me check, sorry no snapper.
3. We decided to order drinks I ordered a Budweiser , my wife ordered a Modella, she brought us one Budweiser and a Michelob Ultra. I say this not Modella, she says oh, we don’t have any. So she chose a Stella, Red head brings the Stella non open, we had to track her down again to say we can’t open it as we did not bring our own can opener . We asked what do you have on the menu so we may not continue to waste our time guessing, her answer it depends on what you want. After being frustrated with the service and lack of food on the menu. We decided to cut our losses and pay for our drinks and leave, with not one apology or care in the world she brought the check for 15 dollars for two beers. I Totally will not recommend this restaurant, and it did not make our New Orleans experience as visitors good. On to the next restaurant.
PS if our Uber driver didn’t come so fast I would have addressed our experience with management but not sure if it would have mattered.
Unhappy patron.
