this place and Costera have growing pains. I'm good on both for a while. Grilled octopus seemed like a joke. They were nice and took it back.

Incredible food. Most dishes are appropriately small so it encourages sharing and a family-style approach. Pizzas are really something else and the pastas are to die for. Really great choices in wines, and although the price tags arent low, it is worth it.

We decided to try this restaurant on the recommendation of friends. We were not disappointed. Everything was so delicious. We started with the crudo, the wood-fired oysters and the beet salad. We each ordered an entree and the mushroom pasta that we all shared. Everything was so tasty. The service was somewhat lax and the server could have come over more and been more attentive, but, other than that, it was a perfect night.

Waiter did a great job giving personal recommendations and explaining seasonal menu items

I have had Osteria Lupo 3 times and every single time I’ve been blown away. It’s the best Italian restaurant I’ve had in Uptown. Highly recommend! Service is always friendly and prompt. The Hangar Steak is honestly to die for. The pizzas are all top notch. And the pastas are all perfectly flavored. Will definitely be in more often.

This was such an odd dining experience. While the food was great, the service was so off here. We had a 5:30 reservation with the aim of hoping to get a few starters and cocktails, and then put in entrees. The waitress shared they weren't able to put in "starters" to start our meal because "the kitchen doesn't like that". We were one of two tables in the entire restaurant at this point. They instead said we would have to put in our whole meal at once. After sharing we would need more time then, we were then basically pressured after having 4 waiters check on us in the span of 15 minutes to put in our orders. It all felt extremely rushed and inappropriate, especially since the restaurant was basically empty. In addition, we had a few instances where someone at our table had food allergies (which we shared in advance of the reservation) but the staff made it extremely challenging to give options for her (both wait staff and kitchen). Things we ordered would be fine, then to come back and say it wasn't allergy friendly, and they wouldn't make accommodations to make it friendly (subbing in a sauce, etc.). It was very awkward all around. All in all, there felt like a real lack of training for the waiting staff, as well as overall education on the menu items. The restaurant policies as whole felt like something that would be in place at fine dining restaurant, when this definitely wasn't that. The pros: We got the burrata, green salad, vodka rigatoni, and chocolate torta which was all delicious.

Amazing al dente pasta. The spicy vodka pasta was so satisfying. They also have some of the best shareable pizza with an amazing pillowy crust.

Phenomenal meal at Osteria Lupo. The burrata appetizer was perfectly balanced and truly enhanced by the focaccia. My son had a pizza which he loved. I had the lamb which was perfectly cooked, lived the mint pistachio pesto. The potatoes were some of the best I've ever had- super crispy and the herbs on top were perfect. Definitely will return!

The food and service at Osteria Lupo were excellent. Our group opted for the family-style tasting and enjoyed plate after plate of delicious courses. There was so much food that I didn't even get to try the pizza, but as you can see from the photos, it looked absolutely delicious I'm really really regretting not trying at least one bite of that yummy looking crust. I did, although try everything else and found The redfish Snapper Crudo particularly fantastic. To be fair, everything was delicious. If I were to skip anything, it would be the lobster Trebbiano in favor of the flounder, Burrata and mushroom Ragu. Overall, everything was absolutely fabulous, but be sure not to have a big lunch on the day you plan to dine here.

First timer, will return promptly and regularly! What a great meal. Went for spouse's bday, and the entire experience was more than my highest expectation. Wine list is outstanding, and the wait staff helps make it not feel overwhelming (I don't *know* wines, just like to drink them). The menu is likewise lovely - I had the pasta with mushrooms (some fancy named beauty). It was absolutely delicious. Portion size is right on too. Spouse had the pasta with sweet potato and some other magical delights. Also delicious! Prices aren't exactly cheap, which is okay, because the food is beyond compare. Worth the price. Worth your time. Sidenote: the layout of the restaurant is pretty but not fancy schmancy... just right! Go there! I'd bet you'll love it.

A really fun and upscale restaurant with a casual yet precise vibe. The waitstaff is superbly attentive. The offerings cover a wide, creative spectrum which transcended my perception of Itailan food. I definitely recommend the Bluefin Tuna appetizer. It's is far and away the best I've had. All other sushi or sashimi I've tried at a restaurant is fishy by comparison.Kid-friendliness: Definitely a family atmosphere.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access.
