The Pete's folk are really nice the drinks are cold the atmosphere is friendly and to top it off they have a farmers market with local vendors from 5 to 7:00 on Mondays during happy hr with a very neighborhood vibe. Some of the nicest people I've met in New Orleans and they can mix a mean drink as well!

Ps: Don't skip the red beans n rice
Been there twice. First time was after Iris and Tucks and I fell and scraped my knee and limped there with my friends and the bartender gave my friend a firs aid kit to patch me up. I took a shot of whiskey and left because I was embarrassed about just bleeding all over the place. Second time was last weekend. I went with a friend that's a regular. The bartender came from the behind the bar and greeted me with a handshake and a smile. Patio was nice and had a grilled cheese...
Pete Scherer was my great uncle. I remember when I was a little girl my great grandma (Pete's sister, Irene) and my nanny (Eileen) used to take me to the bar to see Uncle Pete every Saturday after dancing school. It really is great to see that the place he loved so much is still open. ❤
