These Po' Boys are THE best! We ate here 10 years ago and I did a little research to locate it so we could go again. Husband got the roast beef Po' boy and I got the fried oyster. OMG delish. Worth the Uber and the price of the food. Highly recommend. Met the owner and told him and he was so thankful and humble.

Ok if your craving the classics late night! Can be a little loud if you're just looking to eat but totally worth it.

The food was good but service was slow and portions were lacking. Had the firecracker shrimp and roast beef poo boy's. Paid $15.50 for a 10 inch shrimp poo boy and seemed like there was less than 10 shrimp on the sandwich. The roast beef sandwich had just a couple slices of roast beef. Flavor on both sandwich's were good and the bread and toppings were fresh but definitely need more meat/seafood on the sandwiches for the price paid. Love the outdoor seating! There is also inside seating if the weather is bad.

Also located within the Irish Channel is Parasol’s. Since its inception in 1952, Parasol's Bar and Restaurant has stood as a cherished jewel in the rich fabric of New Orleans.Louis Passauer, the visionary behind the establishment, christened it Parasol's, creating a welcoming sanctuary renowned for its iconic roast beef po'boys – a culinary symbol of the city's essence.Steeped in history as a hub for political and social gatherings, the bar extends a heartfelt invitation to visitors, urging them to immerse themselves in its enduring atmosphere and affable staff,.Parasol's exudes a distinctive charm at the heart of the Irish Channel on Constance and Third Street, beckoning both locals and tourists to savor the genuine spirit of New Orleans. And as St. Patrick's Day approaches, seize the opportunity to join the jubilant festivities of the annual Block Party, where music, green beer, and the infectious energy of Irish celebrations come together in a jubilant spectacle. The service here is friendly and quick. I order a shot of Redbreast 12 Year old Irish Whiskey paired with a pint of Guinness and in no time at all my request was fulfilled. While I was here I had to try Parasol's world fameouse Roast Beef po-boy. The Bread was buttered and toasty, Roast beef… amazing. Rod Stewart once said that every picture tells a story and If the amount of napkins tells the story of a roast beef po boy we will let this picture speak for itself.

I have always loved this Irish Channel bar and in particular their roast beef Po'Boys. They roast their French bread and cook their own roast beef. It's simply delicious. I have been going to this location for over 50 years and have to say it's as good as always.
