Pigeon & Whale is an upscale seafood brasserie that captures a cool nautical vibe with a New England twist. The atmosphere is lively, with a tight dining room where the sound level is manageable, complemented by great music. The service is attentive and well-informed, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. Guests praise the happy hour values before six, making it an attractive option for both locals and visitors.
The menu features standout dishes like the grilled octopus, Charbroiled Mussels, Miso Blue Crab Salad, Swordfish Schnitzel, and Squid Ink Pasta, all bursting with intentional flavors. The lemon cheesecake dessert has also received high praise for its stunning presentation and taste. However, some items, such as the eggplant donuts, have not met expectations, being described as greasy and lacking excitement.
Visitors appreciate the knowledgeable bartenders who provide excellent drink recommendations, enhancing the overall experience. The restaurant is known for its delicious cocktails and a welcoming attitude towards guests with dietary restrictions. With a commitment to quality and flavor, Pigeon & Whale is a must-visit destination for anyone in the area, ensuring diners leave satisfied and eager to return.
