This place is different. It's very loud, the people behind the counters are always screaming things, at each other and at the customers. I think they have to, but it's very nerve-racking if it's busy. Once you get through that you go to get a seat, I highly recommend going outside to the back patio. For atmosphere, I gave it a three but the outside is a definite five⭐️ It is lovely out there. You can still hear them screaming, but not as much. If you sit inside...
Stopped in for some coffee and I enjoyed how strong the espresso tasted in their pontilly latte! Also had a feta chicken salad that was fresh and flavorful. The strawberry cream handpie had a super tasty filling but was slightly dry, but I'll consider that to be from ordering at 4 pm. I would definitely recommend if you are in NOLA and want to support local causes!
I ordered the Java Chip Frappé 3 days in a row while on vacation in New Orleans. It was pretty good and I love this is run by a church and how they help rehabilitate people. I didn't enjoy my drink in the café but from what I saw it seemed like a very nice place to hang in. I highly recommend this place. Shout out to Megan from your namesake.?
