Best pralines in New Orleans. Which is saying a lot. Pralines are a candy that really requires small batches and loving care to be great. Mass produced ones taste like it. Jean is a small producer, waits on her own counter. Her pralines taste fresh, with the right hard/soft consistency, and great pecans. She has a good variety of both flavor and size/packaging options. And she's very nice. Def the place to go for this classic NOLA treat.
We had a great experience here. My husband and I took a day off work to be with our daughter for her first birthday. We went into Pralines by Jean to pick out a cupcake - our daughter's fist - and Jean was working the front register. She was very friendly, helped us pick one out and gave us a candle to put in it. The cupcake was great! I wish there was a seating area, but it's a cute place and we'll definitely be back.

The pralines here are expensive, but good. This is the type of place that you're definitely paying for appearances, but still leave with a good product. I'm sure pralines could be found cheaper somewhere else, but if you like pretty packaging this is definitely a good place to visit to gift yourself or someone else a box of individually wrapped pralines.
